Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 10x10x5 meter cell made from concrete reinforced with tempered steel. SCP-XXXX-1 is in a secondary cell connected to the cell containing SCP-XXXX-2, connected to an emergency generator and an AC electric outlet. Should any entities emerge from SCP-XXXX-2, they are to be sedated and contained in a cell appropriate for the size of the entity. Entities displaying hostile behaviors will be terminated immediately and dissected. Humans shown to be non-anomalous may be given identities or have memories altered via the use of amnestics and integrated into society. Those unable to be integrated will be terminated and incinerated.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to two pieces of anomalous technology, and the biological product of its function. SCP-XXXX-1 is a computer terminal resembling a 1990 Macintosh Personal Computer, featuring a key board, but no mouse. Plugging a wired or wireless mouse into the computer results in the mouse invariably failing and becoming inoperable. The monitor uniformly depicts a blank screen with text resembling that of the Command Prompt, reading “Awaiting Input…”. Upon entering the name of an organic creature with the keyboard, SCP-XXXX-2 will activate. SCP-XXXX-2 is a large ovoid frame constructed of synthetic polymer resembling common ABS plastic, but with a melting point currently unachievable by the technology available to the foundation. When activated by SCP-XXXX-1, the area inside the frame of SCP-XXXX-2 will become opaque and blue in coloration. Within ten minutes, but not sooner than fifteen seconds, a living entity will emerge, corresponding with the phrase entered on the keyboard of SCP-XXXX-1. (See Addendum 01 for list of entities produced by SCP-XXXX-2) Entities range from non-anomalous to altered beyond recognition at seemingly random intervals. Differences include but are not limited to: Physical mutations such as extra or missing limbs, Behavioral shifts to match that of other species, varying levels of sapience or sentience, and various reality altering capabilities ranging from minor to of the utmost significance. Names of mythological creatures such as “Ogre”, “Dragon”, or “Chupacabra” result in a creature resembling the most common depiction of the entity in question to emerge, possessing all traits and abilities of the creature emulated. As well as that, fictitious creatures written down with traits, a name, and a description are recognized by SCP-XXXX-1.
