Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Due to its nature, SCP-XXXX can not be contained. SCP-XXXX is to be monitored using a drone with heat vision, and a tracking device specifically tuned to locate SCP-XXXX. After approximately 2100 hours (9:00 PM), SCP-XXXX's exact location should be reported to the nearest Foundation Site, and have a squad of Mobile Task Force units armed with special sound-based weapons, stationed nearby SCP-XXXX's position in case SCP-XXXX becomes hostile.
Description: SCP-XXXX has been described by witnesses as a tall humanoid figure, lacking facial features other than small, black dots that appear to be eyes, and has what appears to be white translucent almost liquid skin. A few witnesses have even reported a faint glow. However, SCP-XXXX is completely invisible to the naked eye with the exception of the person SCP-XXXX has chosen as its target.
SCP-XXXX wanders the world throughout the day, simply watching as humans go about their daily routine, never interfering or showing itself. After dark however, SCP-XXXX will choose a random person to follow home and wait just outside their bedroom. Generally at about 0200 hours (2:00 AM), SCP-XXXX will create a loud "ticking" sound, identical to that of an average clock, making a "tick" for every second, sometimes skipping a second, or changing pitch for a moment.
This will continue until the chosen target comes outside to investigate. When this happens, the subject will meet with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX will then react, depending on whether or not it "likes" the subject. It is unknown how exactly SCP-XXXX determines what it likes and what it doesn't like.
If SCP-XXXX likes the subject, it will act very friendly towards the subject, often having a casual conversation or playing a harmless game such as "Rock, Paper, Scissors" or "Tic-Tac-Toe". Subjects have reported that they felt very calm despite being in the presence of a strange being they had never seen before.
If SCP-XXXX does not like the subject, it will either attack the subject, or continue to stand very still until it disappears. Survivors of SCP-XXXX's dislike have reported feeling extremely scared and paranoid upon discovery of SCP-XXXX. It is unknown whether this fear is caused by anomalous activity, or if it is simply a natural response.
In the case that the chosen target does not exit their home to investigate the ticking, SCP-XXXX will become bored after about 30 minutes and disappear until sunrise. It is unknown where SCP-XXXX goes during this time.
After sunrise, SCP-XXXX will reappear in a random location, somewhere near a populated area, and go about it's day.
Note: SCP-XXXX has shown to be extremely sensitive to loud high pitched noises, making it easy to prevent it from terminating it's victim with the use of sound-based weapons which emit high pitched screeches, causing SCP-XXXX to scream in pain and quickly disappear until sunrise.
Addendum-XXXX-1: The following is the transcript of a recorded conversation between SCP-XXXX and a target it likes. Subject is a Caucasian male roughly 25 years of age.
*The subject exits his house and turns the corner to see SCP-XXXX. Subject inhales sharply in shock*
SCP-XXXX: Hello.
Subject: What… What the heck are you?
SCP-XXXX I do not know. People like to call me the Ticking Man. I don't know what it means but it sounds nice. Who are you?
Subject: I- I'm ████████… Where did you come from?
SCP-XXXX: I do not know. I'm afraid I do not know a lot of things. Would you like to play a game?
Subject: What kind of game? You mean like Go Fish? or something more like "see how fast you can before I catch you and kill you"…
SCP-XXXX: I do not know of those games. I was thinking of something like "Rocks and Papers and Scissors"!
Subject: Uh sure. Couldn't hurt.
*the subject sits down on the ground with his legs crossed. SCP-XXXX descends, it's legs phasing through the ground, to be at the subject's level*
*the two proceed with a few rounds of "Rock, Paper, Scissors", SCP-XXXX winning most of them*
SCP-XXXX: Joy! I am victorious! Thank you for playing with me, ████████ of ████████████. I enjoyed this game.
Subject: Yeah that was pretty nice. I'll getcha next time though! hehe!
SCP-XXXX: I do not know if I will be returning. I am afraid it is time for me to leave. The light will be rising soon. I have already stayed longer than I should have. I must go. Goodbye human.
Subject: Oh, well, bye then…
