Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: When not being used for testing, SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard anomalous containment cell, powered off, and its battery should be kept at no higher than 15%. SCP-XXXX should be plugged into a charger five hours before any test involving SCP-XXXX is to be attempted. However, if SCP-XXXX reaches a battery level above 80%, it should be unplugged immediately and transferred to another room. DO NOT ALLOW IT TO REACH 100%. Immediately after testing, SCP-XXXX should remain powered on at maximum brightness until its battery returns to 15%. Only personnel with clearance level 3 or higher are allowed to handle SCP-XXXX during a test. Following incident , The camera on SCP-XXXX has been covered
Description: SCP-XXXX is an electronic smart tablet developed by Anderson Robotics. SCP-XXXX has no discernible physical abnormalities other than the Anderson Robotics logo being engraved into its chassis, as well as a small crack on its screen (See Addendum). Functionally, SCP-XXXX, is nearly identical to the first iPad released by Apple in 2010, the biggest difference being the applications that come pre-installed on SCP-XXXX. Each pre-installed app lists the developer as Anderson Labs LTD, and each of these applications is capable of causing different anomalies (See Addendum below). The intensity and magnitude of these anomalies appear to be exponentially correlated to SCP-XXXX’s battery percentage. The only exception to this rule is the App store, which allows a large selection of applications to be downloaded to SCP-XXXX, most of which have proven to be non anomalous.
Addendum SCP-XXXX-A: The following is a list of Apps found on SCP-XXXX that have been confirmed to produce anomalies.
Application: Text Messages
Anomaly: When the messages app is opened, the most recent text conversation will always appear from an individual whose name consists of a long series of numbers, hereby denoted as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 seems to have a conscious of its own, and will converse with any who send it a message.
Application: Email
Anomaly: Whenever a user logs into their email, a large number of envelopes filled
