ITEM NUMBER: SCP-6000
OBJECT CLASS: Euclid
THREAT LEVEL: Yellow
SPECIAL CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES:
SCP-6000 is to be contained in a 6 by 6 meter containment cell at Site-27. Only D-class personnel screened beforehand to not have any tattoos are allowed inside SCP-6000’s containment cell. Three D-class personnel are assigned to SCP-6000, changing shifts every 8 hours. When D-class personnel enters the containment chamber they have to stand behind the red line (which is located one meter in front of the door, indicating the "save zone" of the room), close the door and walk past the red line with SCP-6000's food in hand. Because of incident I-4879-A that happened during test 3189-78-B, the object has to be fed every month. The object has to be given human meat with a tattoo engraved in the flesh. The human meat has to be carved out from living D-class personnel and be fed directly to SCP-6000. As a food source.
Negligence of the feeding schedule will result in the immediate termination of all D-class personnel assigned to SCP-6000. D-class personnel will be replaced immediately afterward.
DESCRIPTION:
SCP-6000 is an old hydraulic press of approximately 3,1 meters in height and 1,7 meters in width, with a weight of 11000 kilograms. SCP-6000 appears to be made out primarily of steel accompanied with several patches of flesh with tattoos engraved in them. The tattoos on SCP-6000’s body seem to differ in art style and don’t appear to be made by the same artist differ in art style and aren’t made by the same artist.
SCP-6000’s anomalous effects manifests when a tattooed person enters it’s vicinity. Its vicinity being a 5 meter radius. Once the person enters the objects vicinity a hydraulic sound goes off and SCP-6000 transforms in a metal cat-like being with razor sharp blades covering its entire being (from now on called SCP-6000-1). SCP-6000-1 then goes on to kill its prey, ripping the tattooed flesh from the preys body and transform back into its original form. When SCP-6000-1 is turned back, a piece of meat with a tattoo on it will be positioned on the press and the press will go off. The piece of meat is gone afterward and the patch of flesh and its tattoo will be grown on a seemingly random location on SCP-6000’s frame, becoming a part of its tattoo collection.
PLEASE NOTE: Logs within this file are only to be read by foundation personnel with a security clearance of level 2 or above. Ignoring this warning will lead to your immediate termination.
Addendum 1:
After extensive research we have discovered that SCP-6000’s anomalous effects can also be triggered when a piece of human meat with a tattoo located on it is being presented. The object will remain dormant until the piece of meat is being laid underneath its press. The press will go of and the piece of meat is gone afterward. The effect remains the same.
SCP-6000's effects will also be triggered when it’s life is being threatened. When it hasn’t been fed for several days it transforms into SCP-6000-1. Also when touched or harmed SCP-6000 will transform into SCP-6000-1 and kill the wrongdoer.
Recovery Log:
SCP-6000 was first discovered on 24/08/1988 by local law enforcement agents at an abandoned factory inside the small town named Lockhart in Texas. The local law enforcements followed up on a lead after several people in town went missing, leading them to the abandoned Johnson & son factory. Accompanied by a foundation agent who infiltrated the towns local law enforcement department, they searched the scene. For more information regarding the recovery off SCP-6000 please read the interview held with foundation agent Ford.
Interviewed: Agent Ford
Interviewer: █
Foreword: The following is an excerpt of a debriefing performed on 24/08/1988 following the containment of SCP-6000
<Begin Log>
Interviewer: So tell me agent Ford, how did you find SCP-6000?
Agent Ford:
Well, you see, I had infiltrated the local law enforcement department at Lockhart a couple of years ago, which meant that I had to follow up on some cases. Since people were going missing in Lockhart, it had a high priority to find those people. We got a strange phone call at some point during our research from someone who told us us that the missing people we were searching for where being held inside the Johnson & son factory. This was strange because the factory had been abandoned for quite some years. We went to the factory and tried to search for the missing people inside the compound. We searched for them but couldn’t seem to find them. It was when we moved to the left part of the factory that we smelled what would eventually lead us to the remains of the missing people. Their remains excreted this dirty rotten smell that hang in the air tonight. We followed that smell and that lead us to the bodies and indirectly to SCP-6000. A pile of dead bodies was stacked on next to SCP-6000
Interviewer: Can you describe their remains for me?
Agent Ford: The remains seemed to be in the beginning stages of decomposition and certain parts of their flesh were missing. I remember this one guy whose forehead was missing. You could see the skull and parts of ripped arteries and veins through the missing flesh.
Interviewer: How did SCP-6000 react to your presence.
Agent Ford: SCP-6000 didn’t seem to mind my presence. It was almost like it didn’t know I was there or it didn’t seem to care. One of the agents from the local law department named Bill was all it cared for.
Interviewer: How did SCP-6000 react to Bill’s presence?
Agent Ford: It reacted by transforming into a cat like being with pointy metal swords all over its body. It jumped onto agent Bill and the next thing I knew his forehead was ripped off. And while Bill was still screaming the being transformed back into a press and pressed the skin of Bills forehead. Bill had a small tattoo on his forehead that somehow got transferred onto the hydraulic press.
Interviewer: Did SCP-6000 attack other people?
Agent Ford: No, only Bill got attacked.
Interviewer: Where there other agents that had tattoo’s on their bodies?
Agent Ford: No, not that I know off.
Interviewer: How did you handle the survivors?
Agent Ford: Following protocol I used a class A amnestic to wipe their memories of the incident.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: From my interview with agent Ford I hypothesize that SCP-6000 only attacks victims that have tattoos on their body. Somehow the presence of a tattoo seems to trigger its anomalous abilities. The dead victims found at the Johnson & son factory need to be examined for evidence of possible previous tattoos. Further testing of SCP-6000’s behavior and abilities is also necessary.
Addendum 2: A cover up story has been fabricated to cover up the incident that happened at the Johnson & son factory. Official reports state that agent Bill was the leader of a cult named the “Temple of suicide”. He convinced members of the cult (the missing people) to mutilate themselves and commit suicide afterwards. After which the police officer took his own life. Further investigation has been closed.

Foreword: After initial testing we have concluded that the hypothesis was right. SCP-6000 seems to target and prey upon victims with tattoos on their bodies. Tests have been conducted to find out an alternative food source for SCP-6000. These tests have failed to provide another possible food source. Tests conducted with tattooed animals have failed to trigger a response from SCP-6000. Tattooed bodies from the morgue have also failed to trigger a response. In hindsight SCP-6000’s anomalous abilities only seem to be triggered when the tattooed flesh is ripped freshly from the victims body. This log is a transcript from recordings made by Dr. A.D.██████ during testing.

[13:11]
Dr. A.D. ██████: It has been exactly one month since we stopped feeding SCP-6000. Before we stopped feeding SCP-6000, most of its metal frame was covered with tattooed patches of flesh. SCP-6000-1 doesn’t share these same properties. We question where those patches go during transformation. Are these patches being held inside SCP-6000-1? Is SCP-6000-1 an entire different being than SCP-6000? Do the patches that SCP-6000 wears deteriorate when we starve it? Some of this questions may be answered soon. The object is still remaining dormant.
[13:25]
Dr. A.D. ██████: SCP-6000 is not dormant anymore. A couple of minutes ago it started to make hydraulic sounds in an ever getting faster pace. My hypothesis is that SCP-6000 has used most of its internal fuel sources (whatever those may be) to stay alive. And now it is starving.
[13:44]
Dr. A.D. ██████: The hydraulic sound increased to an almost deafening speed. Until SCP-6000 transformed into SCP-6000-1. It is trying to force its way out of its containment cell.
[12:04]
Dr. A.D. ██████: SCP-6000-1 has almost breached its containment cell. We have send 4 D-class personnel inside the chamber. The D-class personnel were told that they were send in to detain SCP-6000-1, but in all honesty they were send as a sacrifice to calm SCP-6000-1 down to keep it detained.
The D-class personnel being send in: Please, please don’t do it, no, no, nooooooo!
SCP-6000-1 ripped the four D-class personnel that ware being send in into pieces
[12:30]
Dr. A.D. ██████: SCP-6000-1 has breached its containment cell. The door leading into its cell has been broken down. Strangely SCP-6000-1 is calm and is slowly making its way toward the one-way mirror. All D-class personnel that were send inside the containment cell were fully tattooed ex inmates. All tattooed flesh on the D-class personnel's bodies have been ripped clean, their tattooed flesh seems to have appeared on SCP-6000's frame before it turned back into SCP-6000-1. It appears that SCP-6000-1 is not able to consume the flesh, as it is always turning into SCP-6000 before consuming. Somehow the tattooed flesh seems to resupply its fuel reserves. Further testing is required to determine the mechanics behind SCP-6000's food consumption and how and where it stores its fuel reserves.
SCP-6000-1 stands before the one-way mirror and gives a approving nod with its head
[12:33]
Dr. A.D.██████: SCP-6000-1 has nodded with its head and transformed back into its original form. Although a subjective observation, it seems to understand the sacrifices that we've send in.
<END LOG>
Closing Statement: It is my belief that SCP-6000 seems to be sentient. It appears that it has made a bargain with us. If we understand it correctly, SCP-6000 will not cause any problems as long as we continue to provide it with a food source. Containment protocols have to be adjusted to meet new data findings.
Meeting to change current special containment procedures:
Log Date: 11 April 1989
Foreword: The following log is an excerpt from a recording that has been made during a Containment Procedure consultation. This consultation had been requested by Dr. A.D.██████ after in dept testing of SCP-6000 and SCP-6000-1. The consultation has been attended by Dr. A.D.██████, Prof. ██████ and a Level-3 foundation member.
<Begin Log>
Level 3 foundation member: Dr. A.D.██████ you've requested this meeting to change the current containment procedures of SCP-6000, is that correct?
Dr. A.D.██████ scribbles something on his notepad and looks up at the Level 3 foundation member
Dr. A.D. ██████*:* Yes that is right sir.
Level 3 foundation member: Why do you think changes to the current protocol are necessary?
Dr. A.D. ██████*:* We've done extensive tests on SCP-6000 and SCP-6000-1. During these tests many D-class personnel has perished, but not without results. We've come to certain conclusions from those tests that have an impact on how the containment procedure should look like.
Level 3 foundation member: Alright, what changes to the current containment procedures do you propose? And why do you propose those?
Dr. A.D. ██████*:* SCP-6000 seems to transform into SCP-6000-1 when a tattooed person comes within its vicinity. Which is a 5 meter radius from where SCP-6000 is resting. When transformed into SCP-6000-1, he attacks its prey and kills it. In addition, SCP-6000-1 seems to kill when its life is threatened. As an example: it transforms and kills when touched or hurt by a person or when it is starved. It nearly escaped and threatened the safety of Site-27 during Test 3189-78-B. So from our findings from tests that followed afterward. I propose the following protocol.
SCP-6000 has to remain in his 6 by 6 meter containment cell at Site-27. Only D-class personnel screened beforehand to not have any tattoos are allowed inside SCP-6000’s containment cell. As tattoos will trigger its anomalous abilities and provoke it to kill the wearer. Three D-class personnel are to be assigned to SCP-6000, changing shifts every 8 hours to guarantee continued surveillance. When D-class personnel enters the containment chamber they have to stand behind the red line. Which is to be located located one meter in front of the door, indicating the "save zone" of the room. As this is outside SCP-6000's 5 meter radius. The door has to be closed and the D-class personnel has to walk toward SCP-6000 with food in hand.
Because of incident I-4879-A that happened during test 3189-78-B, the object has to be fed every month. Failing to do so will trigger a response from SCP-6000 which will let him turn into SCP-6000-1 and escape its containment chamber. The object has to be given human meat with a tattoo engraved in the flesh. The human meat has to be carved out from living D-class personnel and be fed directly to SCP-6000. As a food source. As tests have shown that SCP-6000 will not eat other food sources.
Level 3 foundation member: I read in one of the files that during incident I-4879-A, SCP-6000 almost escaped. The closing statement stated your hypothesis that SCP-6000 may be sentient and has stricken a deal. Does your research of SCP-6000 prove your hypothesis?
Dr. A.D. ██████*:* The tests that were performed after incident I-4879-A concluded this hypothesis to be correct, yes.
Level 3 foundation member: Doctor do you believe that SCP-6000-1 could be used as a tool to capture and detain other SCP's.
Dr. A.D. ██████*:* SCP-6000-1 seems to have stricken a deal with us. It will remain calm as long as it is fed once a month. SCP-6000-1 could in theory be used for other purposes. But the SCP's that you want to detain will need to be humanoid and in the possession of tattoos on their bodies. Or SCP-6000 will need to be provoked by them, otherwise SCP-6000 will not attack.
Level 3 foundation member: Doctor you will receive permission to change the current special containment procedures. We will also allow further research on SCP-6000.
<END LOG>
Closing Statement: Containment procedures are to be changed according to the findings of Dr. A.D. ██████. Also SCP-6000 has to be researched in order to determine a way to harness its abilities for capture of other SCP's.
