Snikel's SCP Writing Space

Item ID: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4087 is to be contained at the highest levels of security since Incident #XXXX-A1 of first testing procedures. Any personnel to leave the room is to be warned at first incident and ejected from the program at the second incident. Any personnel to experience SCP-XXXX-2 is to be kept on an extremely confidential list and their family members to be contacted immediately. SCP-4087 is to be kept in a titanium shell room with 4 outwardly-tinted windows, one on each side of the four wall room. Each window is to be exactly 5x5 feet in the center of each wall. The room is to be an exact 20x20x20 feet.

As of [REDACTED], SCP-XXXX is to not be conversed with, nor looked at without direct permission from Dr. Clarissa.

Effective █/██/███, the O5 Command is to be notified immediately if SCP-4087 breaks containment.

Description: SCP-XXXX has the appearance of a kid from [DATA EXPUNGED] by the name of Arrick (listed as PoI Arrick), although the appearances are the same, behaviors are not. SCP-XXXX does not associate well with light, therefore when exposed to it, it retracts into a misshapen form, as seen by the image below.

Behavior:
Testing Log XXXX-A
When 3 Class D Personnel were asked to step into the room, SCP-XXXX does not make any behavior whatsoever. Class D Personnel were then asked to attack SCP-XXXX, no behavior recorded. Class D-2 was then asked to stand close to SCP-XXXX while the others (D-1 and D-3) were asked to leave the room. Immediately after Personnel left the room SCP-XXXX retracts back into a shadow form, classified as SCP-XXXX-3 and all lights in Block C went out. After approximately 10 minutes, lights returned. D-2 was not found, nor were any traces of his existence ever being there. Recorded evidence shows him immediately disappearing before Class D-2 could react.

Addendum XXXX-A: Interview with PoI Arrick [REDACTED]
Doctor █████: So, what can you remember happening the night of the attack?
Arrick: I really don't know! All I can remember was seeing this…this shadow…come near me and…just…blackness. I felt nothing, I woke up in a hospital bed later, but nothing was wrong, I just fainted. I thought it was just a hallucination. What's going on?
Doctor █████: Thank you, Arrick. That's all. You can go now.

Addendum XXXX-B: Block C Researcher's Written Report, █/█/███
(After the second testing of Class D Personnel, results of the test remained the same with exactly 10 minutes of power outage)
Doctor █████: Why do I have to be the one to watch this thing? The only time it ever does something is when someone's alone with him, more or less in the room. He just sits there, staring at the window. God, I'll bet I can just leave and eat lunch and still have nothing. Why do I even need a logbook anyways, not like I'm writing anything. Whatever, I'm going to the vending machine, be back in like 3 minutes. (At this time SCP-XXXX reverts to SCP-XXXX-3 for the remainder of time until the doctor returns, once he returns he immediately reverted back into normal form. Although Dr. █████ gathered valuable evidence, the doctor was then ejected from the program for removing eye contact from SCP-XXXX.)

Addendum XXXX-C: Block A Researcher Recording, █/█/███
(After SCP-XXXX's occurrence in Block C, the cell was then moved to Block A for further testing)
Doctor Clarissa, referred to here as DC: Alright, so based on █████'s findings, are we allowed to remove contact for testing?
Doctor Stevens (Head of Studies), referred to here as DS: Yes, but security is to stay alert while testing is active, make a Block-wide alert.
(Stevens and Clarissa then exit the Block, SCP-4087 retains form until they exit. Once gone, SCP-XXXX assumes SCP-XXXX-3. Thereafter, a Security Officer enters the block without notice and the power then goes out and the researchers re-enter the room.)
DC: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!
DS: The recordings show Entrance-A opening before the power surge happened.
DC: And?!
DS: Security says ████████ is missing.
DC: So it's range reaches outside of the cell?
DS: It seems so, we need higher security, get backup generators running, stat!

Addendum XXXX-D: Block A Report 2
(Archived - Confidential Data)
(After Blindness event)

Doctor Clarissa: Hey John, hand me those papers, they're in the cabinet.
John: Ok.
(Hands papers)
Clarissa: Thanks. Hey did… Did SCP-XXXX just move?
John: I don't know. Does he ever move? That thing's not going anywhere. He just sits there, I would expect to sit here for ages and still not get a reading.
Clarissa: No, John! He's moving, he's never done that!
John: What do you mean? Calm down, he's still on the ground.
Clarissa: No, look! He's moving over to the window, the camera is even showing it.
John: It… It's showing him…sitting…on the ground. Clarissa, you sure you haven't been smoking amnestics?
(Clarissa's external handheld camera then clips in and out, all cameras in the cell go off, one light in front of the cell turns on. Clarissa then grabs the camera, the rest of the recording is now based on the camera. John is shown, along with all personnel collapsing onto the ground.)
Clarissa: What the hell?!
SCP-XXXX: Who are you?
Clarissa: W-w-what?
SCP-XXXX: Who. Are. You?
Clarissa: Doctor Clarissa….I-I was assigned here to keep readings on you, you're….an anomaly, you've never talked, why now? What have you done to ev-
SCP-XXX: Quiet.
(pause)
SCP-XXX: When I was brought here, I've been watched…why?
Clarissa: Because y-you've….been…moving people? Killing them? Wherever you put them, they've gone missing, presumed dead.
SCP-XXX:: Ah yes, ever since day one, you've been….testing, is it? You even hit me on the first day, did you not? He deserved it anyway.
Clarissa: Yes but what we've been trying to find out is where you put them?
SCP-XXX:: That's not the only thing you should be keeping an eye on.
Clarissa: W-what?
(footage of the camera then shows a light in the office turning on)
SCP-XXX:: You don't even know the kind of power I possess, it's….beyond…your human imagination.
Clarissa: Yeah, like turning on a light is a big deal. We've got a giant reptile that's indestructible and a shadow guy that can walk through walls. You're really not special. Anyways, it doesn't matter what 'you possess', until then you're supposed to be locked in there until we decide whether you're good or just another evil son of a [CENSORED] that we keep locked in here.
SCP-XXX: I like you. Go on, keep monitoring me. If I…enjoy…my stay here then…maybe…I'll let you in on some things.
(footage of the camera then shows an instant clip back to the observance room, with all personnel back up and walking around. No personnel recorded anything even happening. Security footage shows the doctor observing the cell throughout the 10-minute occurrence. Ever since this event and the Doctor's observations, she has been permanently assigned to the cell of SCP-XXX. Doctor Clarissa will be very closely monitored as she is showing heightened interest in SCP-XXX. Observation Continued)

Reference:
To date, SCP-XXXX has been responsible for the disappearance of many (34) Class D Personnel due to testing. The original Arrick walks but is still monitored daily for any occurrences. SCP-XXXX-2 is described as the disappearance into SCP-XXXX's "Shadow Realm" as it is been nicknamed by Dr. Clarissa. Testing has been continued at a minimum.

Note #1: SCP-XXXX's effects were then tested on 20 more subjects, results remained consistent. Object Class was moved to Keter after the 4th trial. Studies resumed.

Note #2: A rare occurrence was recorded on █/█/███ when all personnel was present and SCP-4087 assumed SCP-XXXX-3, no victims were recorded but power outage of 5 minutes was in effect.

Note #3: SCP-XXXX disappears from containment on 1-1-████ at exactly 12 AM, later returns 40 minutes after the New Years. (PoI Arrick experienced another "blackout" in exactly the same timeframe. Monitoring schedules have been tightened accordingly.)

Note #4: Block A experienced mild or extremely minimal blindness before being evacuated from the cell after events happen. No current studies show why this happened but it has not happened again since.
