Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be confined within a 15x15x15 meter containment cell. Rooms within fifteen meters of SCP-XXXX's active zone are to be disused and locked up. Entrance into SCP-XXXX's containment is to be at least twenty meters from the active zone. Personnel labeled as Alpha-Prime are forbidden entry into and around SCP-XXXX's containment. Testing is to be done with D-Class convicted of murder.
MTF Alpha-4 ("Pony Express") are to identify and intercept instances of SCP-XXXX-A and amnesticize any recipients. As of 24/3/2003, personnel are forbidden from reading any instances of SCP-XXXX-A.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a shape-shifting anomaly capable of transforming into a variety of weaponry, in particular firearms. All noted transformations have not deviated from this pattern thus far. All patterns of transformation indicates that it primarily emulates firearms used around the halfway point of the 19th century, possibly weapons used in the American Civil War. SCP-XXXX currently takes up the appearance of a Burnside M1855 Carbine.
SCP-XXXX is capable of detecting individuals convicted of violent crimes and former/current military veterans, labeled as Alpha-Prime. How it is able to discern this fact is completely unknown. When Alpha-Prime is within a fifteen meter radius of SCP-XXXX, it will discharge a single bullet in the immediate direction of its target. No test to date has found a way to impede the progress of the bullet. Individuals shot by SCP-XXXX, now classified as SCP-XXXX-1, will display no signs of physical wounds, and will begin to exhibit an erratic change of behavior approximately three minutes afterwards.
Approximately two hours after impact, instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are displaced into another dimension, classified SCP-XXXX-2. The only details known about SCP-XXXX-2 comes from handwritten letters written by SCP-XXXX-1 addressed to their families. According to the letters, currently identified as SCP-XXXX-A,
