Special Containment Procedures: Site-XXXX-α has been established above SCP-XXXX-1 at ██.████° south, ██.████° west. An exclusion zone with a radius of ███ km is to be maintained around Site-XXXX-α, which shall be patrolled by MTF Zeta-XX (“Amundsen's Dogs”). Any SCP-XXXX-2 instances discovered within the exclusion zone are to be subdued, administered Class A amnestics, removed from the zone, and provided sufficient provisions to travel to the nearest non-Foundation research station. The deaths of any SCP-XXXX-2 instances shall be covered up using standard Foundation cover story #███-█ (“Lost Expedition”).

Foundation personnel stationed at Site-XXXX-α are to be prohibited from using or possessing any item or material made using industrial mass production techniques. Communication between Site-XXXX-α and other Foundation sites is to be done via the communications relay at ████ Station.1

Provisional Site-XXXX-β2

Foundation agents embedded at various Antarctic research stations are to immediately report any suspected SCP-XXXX-2 instances outside the exclusion zone to Site-XXXX-α administration.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a ruined industrial facility, embedded underground beneath the West Antarctic Ice Sheet. SCP-XXXX-1 was discovered on ██/██/199█ after a routine scan of ground-penetrating radar images taken by Foundation survailance satellites suggested the presence of a large artificial structure underneath the ice. Fossils in the surrounding strata are of flora and fauna known to have been present on Antarctica between 55 and ██ million years ago.

Initial Foundation investigation was greenlit on the basis of there being no records of any structures of the estimated size having been built in Antarctica at any point in human history. When contact was lost with the initial research team and the rescue team sent to recover them, a provisional risk class was assigned and research priority increased. Approximately ██ Foundation personnel were lost before SCP-XXXX's primary anomalous effect was identified and preliminary containment procedures were outlined. Current containment procedures were established on ██/██/200█.

Archeological investigations uncovered severely decayed industrial machinery. Study of the machinery suggests the facility was used for the mass production of various non-anomalous plastics; however, the designs match no known references. Research into how the facility causes SCP-XXXX-2 instances is still ongoing.

The center of the presumed production floor shows signs of a small explosion.

SCP-XXXX-2 is the designation for sapient individuals who come within ███ km of SCP-XXXX-1 while in the possession of any objects that were mass produced. All SCP-XXXX-2 instances immediately show varying degrees of aversion or hostility towards said objects, abandoning modern weaponry and vehicles, removing articles of clothing, destroying electronic communications equipment, and even, in extreme cases, forcefully ████████ ███████ ████████ from themselves or others.

Following Incident XXXX-14, testing with sapient AIs and other technological intelligences has been disallowed by the Ethics Committee.3

While the majority of SCP-XXXX-2 instances recover once no longer within SCP-XXXX-1's area of effect, █% continue to show anomalous hostility towards mass produced objects unless administered Class A amnestics. Furthermore, ██% show an increase in support for environmentalist causes and political organizations after amnesticization, with up to ██% of those individuals professing sympathy for ███-█████████ groups.

Addendum XXXX-1: On ██/██/20██, Foundation personnel embedded at ███████ Station, over ████ km from Site-XXXX-α, reported █ suspected SCP-XXXX-2 instances. Investigation discovered that a group of civilian researchers had been forced off course by an out-of-season storm while on a routine resupply mission. They were discovered deceased, naked, and extremely frostbitten.

Thorough investigation of their route discovered an area, roughly 0.█ km in diameter, where SCP-XXXX-2 instances would manifest. Remote scans with high-powered ground-penetrating radar uncovered a small ovoid object, designated SCP-XXXX-3, identified as a █████ ████, consisting of a previously unknown █████████ compound surrounding an █████████ ██████. Testing showed that exposure to the compound converted individuals into especially severe SCP-XXXX-2 instances.4 Class █ amnestics were required to suppress anomalous behavior.

A proposal for a comprehensive sweep of Antarctica for more SCP-XXXX-3 instances and reclassification of SCP-XXXX to Keter is pending approval.
