Report on SCP-7787, also known as "Death's Omen" by Dr. ███████
SCP-7787 is described as a white wolf with blue eyes and when in a passive state has a typical wolf maw. However, during it's aggressive or hunting state its eyes will turn pitch black and roll into its skull along with its maw turning completely black like a void and start to drip a very dark shade of blood. It has also been shown to possess telepathic abilities speaking to personal one on one.
People that have encountered 7787 have stated that "It looked into my soul and I felt death around me" some with slight alterations but keeping the same message.
From what we know of it' it has been found in places that can be associated with death in some way, i.e. hospitals, graveyards, etcetera.
As SCP-7787 is a Euclid-class we have found that keeping it in a 10x10 meter cell with nothing in it seems to be the best option. However, it tends to bring in bloody transparent body bags, carried in its maw. This means it is necessary to clean its cell every three days at 15:35 by having one MTF stand guard while two D-Class personal drag out the body bags. We have occasionally checked the bags to find they hold blood and chunks of flesh.
It has escaped containment one time before by talking to a doctor telepathically until the doctor smashed their head through the glass letting 7787 escape. After this several attempts to speak with the wolf failed, with is just growling and barking
If 7787 manages to escape MTF armed with tranquilizers will be deployed to sedate 7787 and drag it back to its cell.
We also managed to find and interview a young man that claimed to have seen 7787 hunt him in a hospital.
“I was bored so I decided to head away from my family while we were on a trip to Stockholm in Sweden.
We got to a big open area with people talking and buzzing around and that’s when I left them.
After walking for a minute or two I found a building with a door that was on glance I opened it fully and stepped in before it slammed shut.
It startled me like hell but maybe it was just the wind. I tried to open it again but it was locked strangely enough there was no locking mechanism on this side like normal so I was stuck.
I looked around and it seemed like I was in a hospital of kinds but also an apartment complex of sorts.
Maybe a mix of them. Anyway I had nothing better to do so I whipped out my keyring with a pocket flashlight and started walking upstairs.
The “lobby” looked normal enough but there was nobody there only empty hospital beds and a flickering light.
The second story was much more horrifying.
Blood. So much blood. It was splatters of blood everywhere from the ceiling to the floor I saw splatters of blood. I immediately walked downstairs with haste to try and open the door but again.
Locked. So I did the dumbest shit I could.
I walked upstairs. On the third floor I saw my first corpse.
A young woman with some tight blue jeans and a puffy black jacket. Couldn’t have been much older than me.
I almost threw up at the sight and before I moved on I noticed she had violent and noticeable marks on her right arms and neck completely torn up.
On the fourth floor things got really messed up.
Body bags but they were transparent and filled with bloody corpses.
I didn’t count em but I’m pretty sure there were 5 or 6 of them total and even one really long one laying on the stairs.
At this point I was not only scared but terrified.
I kept trying to talk to myself on what was actually going on “is this just a prank? Well if it is I’m suing the hell out of is doing this!”
I then looked up and noticed no more stairs above me.
I had reached the final floor. I slowly walked up the stone stairs the sound of my shoes echoing throughout the hospital.
When I reached the final step up I saw it.
I saw what lead me to the SCP foundation.
It looked like a short-haired snow-white wolf and it was sitting.
Waiting for me.
And behind it was a wall of corpses stuck inside those bloody transparent body bags screaming and moving in ways you couldn’t even dream of in your nightmares.
My eyes opened wide at this sight as the dog stood up its eyes sinking into its skull and it growled at me as it started running.
What I saw in those eyes and mouth was death.
Not darkness but death.
I practically jumped down the stairs trying to get away from it.
I ran and I ran my heartbeat feeling like a jackhammer because I knew if that thing got a hold of me I would end up in one of those body bags.
When I reached the third floor I quickly remembered that there was an elevator half shut so I took a sharp turn and forced myself into it and closed it as I saw the dog slide past me looking into my eyes as it did.
With the elevator closed and alone I sat down and started crying.
“The eyes of death” is the only way I could put it.
I didn’t have time to breakdown for long after hearing the growling again and a snapping noise above me. The dog had bitten through the elevator cables and the Elevator was sent straight down into the shaft.
I was floating right before it crashed to the ground sending me bouncing around the elevator like a ball and probably broke a rib or two. This elevator was my only hope right now.
The elevator would lead somewhere safe or it lead me to my death. I had no choice and I started tearing up as I pushed open the doors I saw them.
My family. I ran towards them limping a bit from the crash and hugged them tightly telling them what happened. They didn’t believe me but I wasn’t blaming them.
This shit sounded out of this world.
I looked back at the elevator and my eyes opened wide again as I saw the dog sitting and waiting for me again like it did when I reached the top floor.
I ran into the car and closed the door and looked back but. Nothing. It was gone. That white dog is now the one and only thing I fear.”
End of interview
The main strengths of this SCP are that it seems to have a natural aura of fear leaving most people to wanna run which is why there must be three or more personnel around when interacting with 7787.
Dr. ███████, signing off.
