Item #: SCP-4362
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4362 samples are to be kept in a frozen jars 2 inches in height inside of a freezer room the space requirements are not important and the room it is currently housed in a 5m x 5m room. If in the event of a power outage or a containment breach Foundation level 4 personnel are to wear protective gear and put the samples in a specifically designed briefcase meant to transport the samples. If Class D personnel are used to test SCP-4362 they are to be put immediately into individual quarantined cells and documented for the effects of SCP-4362.
Description: SCP-4362 is a micro organism of an unidentifiable species that reproduces and infects only human subjects but travel through animals. When on a subject it will attempt to enter inside the subject by any means possibly including through orifices or cuts in the body. When inside the body it will make its way through the body until it will somehow reach into the digestive system it will then proceed to enter a mutation stage inside the human turning into an egg that will grow to progressively larger over the span of a month making it increasingly difficult for a human to digest food. It will then proceed to birth a version of an animal that lays the egg it morphed into the species recording to have come out of these eggs were reptiles, birds, Amphibians, Fish and Monotreme Mammals.
Addendum: Class D Testing
- Subject 1: The sample of SCP-4362 infected into D-Class personnel was obtained in █████, South Africa and did not have any known prior infections of other animals. When D-Class Personnel was injected with SCP-4362 and it reached his digestive system the egg grew much larger than previous reports and D-Class complained several times about it being extremely difficult to eat food he was provided. D-Class after a week into the study died of starvation and the body was brought into a research lab. After about 3 weeks the corpses stomach opened when a newborn Common Ostrich emerged from the egg chirping for its mother.
- Subject 2: The sample of of SCP-4362 infected into D-Class personnel was obtained █████, Australia it did not have any known prior infections of other animals. When D-Class Personnel was injected with SCP-4362 the same symptoms were shown and again D-Class complained about how much his stomach hurts and how difficult it was to eat. D-Class died a week after the egg was present in his body of starvation however a month later when the egg hatched the animal ate away at D-Class Flesh and a month later a month old Saltwater Crocodile emerged from D-Class' Stomach.
- Subject 3: The sample of SCP-4362 was kept in foundation custody and did not have any prior animal infections. The sample was injected into a canine and a D-Class was called in. D-Class was asked to pet the canine which D-Class did with no resistance. Research shows that SCP-4362 did not make any attempt to enter into D-Class or the canine after it was concluded it would not go in D-Class was released.
- Subject 4: This test was not going to be documented into the file until a power outage happened after power came back on using a backup generator it was noted that the egg had seemingly stopped growing. The egg was surgically removed from D-Class corpse where it was noted that it seemed to have ceased all functions after the extreme cold took place.
Note: It seems that the egg behaves similar to cold blooded reptiles who cease movements after a certain temperature is reached - Dr. James Smith
