Special Containment Procedures: SCP-3689 is to be contained in a 6 inch by 5 foot by 7 foot solid steel bookshelf equipped with two inch thick steel shutters that can be closed and locked remotely. The shelf itself being contained no further than 15 metres from any form of automated weapons defense system.
The bookshelf is to have a minimum of two guards at all times, and the guards must be regularly tested for symptoms of anomalous influence. If traces of anomalous influence are present, the affected individual is to be immediately removed and administered class C amnestics.
In the event of a large-scale attack by SCP-3989 the steel shutters are to be closed and locked remotely, and the automated defense system to be activated, as to prevent any on site personnel from accessing any portion of SCP-3689.
Description: SCP-3689 is a set of 10 paperback books, part of a series titled "Adventures in Crime with Timothy Time!" each book has a different lighthearted subtitle and colorful cover, reminiscent of books for children.
The anomalous properties manifest before the book is opened, as the books have been know to communicate telepathically, trying to convince subjects to start reading, or read more.
When read, each book creates an instance of SCP-3689-1, a humanoid approximately 5 feet in height which refers to itself as "Timothy Time"
