SCP-???

Object Class: Safe

Containment: SCP-??? is currently being held in Site 13 inside a standard anomalous objects containment locker. All use and Testing should first be approved by a level 2+ personal. And all users are also mandated to wear audio recording equipment at all times, which will later be used as analysis when the subject expires.

Description: SCP-??? is an older looking, black in color mp3 player-like object with its play button torn off, and its screen slightly scratched and cracked. The word "remember" are also roughly scratched onto the backside of SCP-???. Despite the visible damage on SCP-??? any further damage of any kind has not been shown to pose any damage to SCP-???. Furthermore, no manufacturer has been found on SCP-??? and despite uncover agents currently investigating its origins, the results have been inconclusive.

SCP-??? has a 5mm headphone jack connector and when plunging in any headphones, headset, or speakers compatible with it SCP-??? anomalous properties are reviled.

Despite the "play/pause" button being non-functional (as well as the rest of the buttons and screen) on SCP-??? any human-being/humanoid capable of hearing that uses SCP-??? (machines have not been able to detect/record any audio from the object) will hear its audio as soon as something is plugged into the headphone connector of SCP-???. Upon listening to SCP-??? any user will report audio unique to them currently recorded to range from anywhere from as short as 30 seconds to as long as 6 minutes in length, before repeating the same audio exactly 10 minutes after original audio ended. A correlation between the subject listening to SCP-??? and its length has currently not been found. The audio played, while at first was thought to be meaningless, was later found to be the audio heard by the subject, before their death. The audio almost always matches the audio described by the subject perfectly (this has been deduced to be the subject's error in describing the audio, not SCP-???). The date, time, or location has no pattern found as of yet, nor does the means that the subject's death show any evidence of a pattern. This has lead researchers to believe the SCP does not cause the subjects death, rather plays audio of their inevitable death.

Experimentation Notes:
1- Class-D was given a pair of headphones to plug in and listen to SCP-???, he was then told to describe exactly what he heard, which was recorded, before he was dismissed. Exactly 6 days later the Class-D was assigned cleaning duty of SCP-173 and was killed in the process along with two other Class-D personal. The audio recorded at the time matched surprisingly accurate to the audio described by the Class-D 6 days prior.

2- SCP-??? was plugged into a speaker system and was played for 5 D-Class personal, once each had said their audio had gone silent they each were told to describe what they had heard, their descriptions were recorded and they were dismissed. As of this time 3 of the 5 D-Class have expired all with matching audio to what they have described.

3- 20 Class-D were told to listen to SCP-??? and were informed of its anomalous properties. Unknown to them however, half were selected at random to be exterminated by facility guards on duty immediately after they heard SCP-??? audio, these guards were told to say a 5 letter code at random before executing the subjects. Those who were selected to die all attempted to defend themselves once the guards shouted their code they were assigned.

4- A Class-D was given SCP-??? to listen to, in his description he had described what he had thought sounded of gunfire. As a test to see how effective SCP-???'s predictions are the Class-D was relieved and assigned an audio recording device to be worn at all times and kept in a safe area of the facility. Exactly 23 days later a containment breach had occurred on the facility, of the casualties the Class-D was among them, killed by a facility guard with 3 shots to the chest.

5- A Class-D testing SCP-??? was told to repeat the audio that he heard from, in which he described audio describing researcher Dr.blank describing the date and time (which was exactly 5 days in the future to the current testing). He has relayed some of his findings of SCP-???, before the subject heard a gunshot and the audio ended. As a new test researchers decided to terminate the Class-D before the date and time the Class-D described in order to test the effects of directly altering SCP-???'s premonitions. However, soon after deciding this new test a loud gunshot was heard that originated near the Class-D subject, while there was no gun observed/detected. An autopsy of the Class-D had shown the subject had died from what can only be described as a bullet through the head, only there was no evidence of any bullet material found. Further dissection of the subject reviled that the words "and never forget" were carved into the left side of his femur, with no clues as to how it got there in the first place.

6- A NTF soldier was given SCP-??? to listen to before being sent on a dangerous containment mission for SCP-XXXX. The audio the NTF personal described was likely the mission he was to be assigned on, as loud howls could be heard similar to SCP-XXXX he would have been sent to contain. It was decided by DR. Blank was selected to be relieved of said mission, instead assigned to be observed by facility researcher blank as well as by strike command leader blank. After 3 hours of observing the subject, no signs of distress had occurred; however upon the NTF strike teams encounter with SCP-XXXX and the entire team being mutilated, the same moment loud howls commonly associated with SCP-XXXX could be heard along side the subject's screaming. Large amounts of bleeding from lacerations were observed to appearing on his body as the subject became more and more mutilated. After the subjects expiration, an autopsy reveled that the mutilation patterns match the same wounds found on the recovered Strike Team's bodies. Similar to the previous autopsy the words "and never forget" were once again found to be carved into the left side of the subject's femur, with yet again no clues as to how it appeared.

Addendum:
SCP-??? may prove useful in order to relay messages to the past by speaking to a Class-D subject before executing him, however the inconsistency of the length of time and keeping the subjects alive have made this difficult. Further testing is required and needs approval of personal of level 4+ before approving SCP-??? for field use.
