Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a high-security containment locker within Storage Wing-23 in Site-20. Only personnel with Level 4 or higher security clearance are permitted to perform tests on SCP-XXXX. Anyone that falls into a comatose state after coming in contact with SCP-XXXX or has strange occurrences happen around them after coming in contact must be euthanized as soon as possible.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears as a book, approximately 1.68 inches thick, with a black cover. The pages appear to be made of silver, and they give a similar reaction to blood under a black light. On the cover is an engraving of a purple butterfly (species unidentifiable) surrounded by five lavender peacock feathers in a pentagonal pattern. These also give a similar reaction to blood under a black light.

Upon opening and attempting to read SCP-XXXX, all subjects have entered into a comatose state in which their bodies fell into a near-death state. Their bodies were only able to move while they still had colour in them. Once their bodies became fully colourless due to SCP-XXXX, any attempt to move their bodies resulted in the mover feeling extreme internal pain with no clear source. The pain would dissipate after an hour maximum.

It is unclear whether SCP-XXXX has a maximum holding limit or a maximum time limit to hold the subjects’ souls. However, every subject has come back with a different mentality and a different viewpoint on the world. Each subject was interviewed separately and although their accounts were conflicting in many places, there were two consistent subjects: a library and a humanoid.

This humanoid, labelled SCP-XXXX-G, has been put into a separate tab.

All subjects died at a maximum of a week after awaking from their comatose state, and many have never awoken.

Addendum: Natural disasters that have occurred to those in possession of SCP-XXXX: Flooding, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados, reports of meteorites aiming to strike at the location of SCP-XXXX.

Unnatural disasters that have occurred to those in possession of SCP-XXXX: All plant life in area withering within two days, disappearances of people and objects, unfamiliar books and possessions appearing in random places, objects becoming colourlessly monochromatic.

SCP-XXXX-G

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-G cannot be physically contained as SCP-XXXX contains it. However docile it might seem, all subjects are heavily warned to avoid contact with it as much as possible.

Description: Although subjects’ stories were conflicting, their descriptions of SCP-XXXX-G have always remained consistent. SCP-XXXX-G appears as a 17-year-old humanoid of European decent. It has a colourless, monochrome palette. It wears its black hair in a low ponytail and wears French aristocratic clothing. Subjects have also reported that it had never been seen without a book.

SCP-XXXX-G, much like SCP-085 before the incident of ██-██-████, is mostly unaware of their existence within SCP-XXXX-G. However, it will often pull its existence into question. Questions that it has asked: How have I never run out of books? When does this library end? Where do I go when you are not here with me? How have I never seen you around the library?

SCP-XXXX-G is ignorant to the outside world, but SCP-XXXX is not. In a similar fashion to SCP-4374, it can narrate exactly what is happening outside of the book (e.g. if a family member of one of the subjects is doing an action, the action will appear in SCP-XXXX-G’s book) and what is going to happen to the subject.

Addendum: Subjects, as of ██-██-████, are forbidden to tell SCP-XXXX-G that they exist within a book. The last subject that returned from SCP-XXXX alive was so deeply mentally damaged that the only thing that they could remember and speak clearly about was telling it that it wasn’t real.
