Description: SCP [Placeholder] is a insect measuring 0.1 millimeters in length and visually looks similar to a typical Coccinellidae (Ladybug). {Placeholder] Has a variety of anomalous abilities and behaviors including it’s tendency to detect certain information. If SCP [Placeholder] has enough instances it will cover the information and change it’s color to resemble text or stricken out information, leading to important documents in Foundation storage being covered. SCP [Placeholder] seems to prefer to write out words like Redacted but it can also be seen covering numbers entirely in black colored instances or even writing Data Expunged. SCP-Placeholder also seems to have an anomalous effect when seen on paper. Anyone viewing it will have the impression that they would not have clearance to view it even if told otherwise. Once a piece of information has been covered SCP-Placeholder will begin to mate and produce eggs of a apparent translucent color. The eggs themselves do not have the same effect. If ingested the eggs allow the subject to view any information covered.

SCP-Placeholder-2 refers to a digital variant of {placeholder] that is created when an instance of SCP-Placeholder is allowed to crawl into any computer or device that stores information. When SCP-Placeholder-2 is in a device with a screen, it can be seen inside walking towards whatever data it senses. Testing has concluded that SCP-Placeholder-2 does not have the same effect as its predecessor. If SCP-Placeholder-2 is on a text document the user can simply delete the instances entirely, making a useful termination method. SCP-Placeholder-2 cannot move from computer to computer unless a text document affected by SCP-Placeholder is sent via email or flash drive as downloading or trying to copy and paste the instances only show the original text.

SCP-Placeholder can tamper with the mind by entering the ear and converting into SCP-Placeholder-3 and within an average of 5 minutes completely redact a person’s memory or ability to control a person’s ability to use their bodily functions. SCP-Placeholder-3 seems smarter then the other variants due to its specific choices in memory deletion, causing Incident-[Placeholder]-2

SCP-Placeholder was found when reports from a library near Site-██ reported mass vandalism on books of historic nature and was seen spreading over to the nearby programming section. After seeing SCP-Placeholder move towards another book local law enforcement contacted the FBI who then informed the Foundation.

Special Containment Procedures: XXXX-1 and XXXX-2 should be kept on Site-███’s anomalous insect storage area in Class-B modified insect handheld containment unit only accessible by those with level 2 clearance or higher. SCP XXXX-1 should be handled by no more than two guards wearing protective hearing equipment as to prevent mental tampering. SCP-XXXX-2 should be kept in the lock-box underneath the containment unit. If research staff require SCP-XXXX-1, they must file a request to Director ██████'s office.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is an insect measuring 0.1 millimeter in length and is similar to a Coccinellidae.¹ XXXX-2 is a phone resembling a Nokia 33 10 3G in a black color. When a call is made on SCP-XXXX-2 every instance of SCP-XXXX-1 in the surrounding area² will look at the caller and a voice of indeterminate gender can be heard saying "What would information you like removed?" once this is spoken the caller can either specify information or certain hazards such as visual cognitohazards. After the required information is spoken all instances of SCP-XXXX-1 will crawl to the nearest piece of information in either papers or anything displaying text such as plaques or device screens meeting the requirements. Physical text and images are covered, and SCP-XXXX-1 will either stay black or change into a creamy white color. At this point XXXX-1 will form itself into a few phrases such as [Data Expunged], [Redacted] or simply striking it out³.

It has been found that more instances can be made by telling XXXX-1 through XXXX-2 to reproduce. If told to XXXX-1 seems to make duplicates of themselves by splitting in half and regenerating the missing pieces. This process also works in the reverse where all instances will come together with no change in size at all. XXXX-1 is also able to enter humans via the ear canal and affect memories as well. XXXX-1 can remove memories or implant new ones until the -1 is removed. Subjects report seeing dots in their vision and a compulsion to sleep. Testing is ongoing to replicate XXXX-1 and -2 for use in research, amnestic replacement and quicker training.⁴

XXXX-1 was found when multiple physical records in Site-███ appeared to have been vandilized. all modified information pertained to the subject of POI-XXXX-1 who was on Foundation surveillance for being a suspected member of a unrelated anomalous cult. 100 instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and one of XXXX-2 were found in his place of residence.

On 12/01/20██ a note made of XXXX-1 was found inside XXXX-1's container but no new phone calls were logged in the phone itself
