Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be laid flat within a 5 in x 12 in x 3 in a sealed metal box at the lowest possible point of the containment site. It is to remain horizontal when not being tested.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 4 in x 10 in pink dream catcher made out of synthetic materials, feather decorations slightly singed. When a subject falls asleep under SCP-XXXX, they describe vivid and happy dreams upon waking. Their sleep is otherwise normal. This effect appears to have [DATA REDACTED] with a 50 ft wide diameter around SCP-XXXX. No known means have been observed to stop this field.

After repeated use, SCP-XXXX begins to noticeably darken. After approximately 72 to 144 collective hours of sleep, when no one views SCP-XXXX, black entities appear from the netting of SCP-XXXX, referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, and so on. This occurrence can be recorded, however, using conventional cameras. SCP-XXXX’s entities are solid black with no discernible details beyond body shapes and limbs. The entities vary dramatically in size and shape, from ██ in to ██ ft tall. The entities have been observed having 2 to ██ legs, generally walking in a quadruped fashion. The entities range from an emaciated appearance to bloated.

SCP-XXXX-1 is particularly aggressive towards humans who have slept under SCP-XXXX, but displays hunting tactics similar to lionesses towards other humans, despite being unable to eat. SCP-XXXX-1 dissipates after extended exposure to sunlight, approximately █ to ██ collective hours. When placed above D-Class quarters in Site ██, [DATA EXPUNGED].

Addendum: SCP-XXXX was recovered from the wreckage of a house fire in ██████, VA. Witnesses the night before said they heard screaming, and one woman commented on black shapes running away, presumed to be house pets, however were instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

It was found that test subjects suffering from night terrors and similar sleep detriment experienced normalized sleep cycles when placed under SCP-XXXX. However, it was found that SCP-XXXX darkens considerably quicker, and entities produced were [DATA EXPUNGED].
