Special Containment Procedures:SCP-5285 is kept at site-189 In a locked steel container, and may only be removed if given special permission from the council for testing, and attempts at reverse engineering of the object.
Description:SCP-5285 is a black circular disk approximately twenty centimeters in diameter, and is known now to be made of the mineral hematite.Both sides of the disk have Cyrillic engravings one side reading “создание“ roughly translating to “creation”, and the other side reading “сохранение“ translating to “preservation”.Despite the size of object it weighs approximately 22 kilograms, and is known to glow red at night for currently unknown reasons.
SCP-5285 is referred to as ‘Dev Kit’ due to its anomalous effects giving the beholder supernatural abilities resembling the abilities a game developer has while developing a game.it’s effects are known to take affect after the object has been held in the user’s hands for thirty seconds.After the thirty second period what appears to be an options menu will appear in front of the beholder.At the top of menu there is text that reads “initiate inspection mode?”,and below it there are two options yes, and no.if the no option is selected nothing will happen and the menu will disappear, but if the yes option is selected the menu will disappear, and it will be replaced a sidebar of options at the edge of you vision.The options include a detailed inspection mode, a no collisions option, and a god mode option.Once active it can be deactivated by repeating the activation process and selecting no.
The detailed inspection option Allows for the user to observe every aspect of any object down to the molecular level.The no collisions option does as stated and allows the user to walk through solid objects with no effect on the user including materials that would usually harm or have ill effects on the body, and the god mode option grants immunity to the user against all elements of the world.
SCP-5285 was first discovered by site-189 founder Dr.Amber on a leisure mountain climbing trip in the Himalayas where she first found SCP-5285 in a secluded cave with no clues to what the object was.After holding it for sometime the activation sequence began, and after realizing what the object she could do she brought it to site-189 to be contained.Origins of the object are still unknown.
