Special Containment Procedures: Temporary research and containment Site-XXXX-A has been constructed around SCP-XXXX for containment. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX containment is moderately difficult as containment site XXXX-A must be moved with SCP-XXXX. Current containment procedures include the following:
- Restricting an area around SCP-XXXX from the public. Currently a radius of 5km is restricted from public access under the guise of military testing. Any non-foundation personnel found within this exclusion zone should be removed and amnesticized.
- If SCP-XXXX becomes or attempts to become mobile, a chemical mixture consisting of 30% Water, 24% Sulfuric Acid, 26% Toluene, and 20% [REMOVED BY O5-6] equaling 300L should be poured into it. This mixture will slow down and eventually completely stop SCP-XXXX. If SCP-XXXX does not stop after 3 days from initial exposure, Site-XXXX-A Director M. Roberts should be contacted immediately and another 300L of the mixture should be poured in.
Description: SCP-XXXX is currently located near █████, Texas. Foundation Site-XXXX-A has been constructed around SCP-XXXX creating an exclusion zone of ██km. Site-XXXX-A is designed to look like a small rural town. SCP-XXXX is a roughly 450 meter (diameter) sinkhole, and is currently ~600 meters deep. SCP-XXXX has never grown larger in diameter than 1000 meters.2
SCP-XXXX is filled with ██████████, which behaves like a pseudo-brain. This pseudo-brain sends and receives electrical impulses, simulating a nervous system. Testing has revealed that SCP-XXXX is sentient and has roughly the mental capacity of a 1█ year old child.3
SCP-XXXX will attempt movement every 5-6 days. It does this by moving the water inside of it aggressively toward the direction it wants to move, resulting in the ground eroding. When SCP-XXXX does successfully move, it's size remains constant, as the ground behind it is replaced.

Test #1: Manually increasing the size of SCP-XXXX by 50 meters with non-powered hand tools. Note: Before testing SCP-XXXX was 298 meters in diameter.Result of Test #1: After approximately 30 minutes, SCP-XXXX replaced the ground around it, returning to its original size.

Test #2: Manually increasing the size of SCP-XXXX by 50 meters with powered hand tools. Note: Before testing SCP-XXXX was 312 meters in diameter.Result of Test #2: After 2 hours and 15 minutes, SCP-XXXX became mobile and attempted to move north for 3 hours, after which it ceased movement and returned to a size of 350 meters in diameter.4

Test #3: First sentience test. Conducted using 3 Euclid Class N.H.A.S.T5 probes positioned in a tangent triangle inside of SCP-XXXX. Note: Before testing SCP-XXXX was 400 meters in diameter.Result of Test #3: Immediately following the activation of the N.H.A.S.T probes, SCP-XXXX became active and moved 500 meters before coming to a stop. The N.H.A.S.T probes inside SCP-XXXX remained in place long enough for measurable information to be extracted. Resulting data showed that SCP-XXXX possessed sentience and a mental capacity akin to a 10 year old child.
