Image taken of a pack of SCP-XXXX issued to MTF Zeta-9 before the recall

Special Containment Procedures: All samples of SCP-XXXX must be contained in properly labeled vacuum sealed packaging in their containment vault on Site-45. Samples of SCP-XXXX are no longer permitted to be used in the field, and experimentation can only be authorized by staff assigned to SCP-XXXX with level 4 clearance with a reason given for experimentation. Any staff involved in SCP-XXXX, even inadvertently, without Level 2 clearance must be administered Class-C amnestics before experimentation is concluded and the incident will be added to their hidden permanent record.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a drug which acts as a mnestic1 until taken in excess, at which point the drug begins to create new memories. These new memories do not merely exist in the subjects head, but the events occurring within the memory appear to have been retroactively perpetrated.

These pills originated from a order of β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ USD in mnestics, when reports came out that a particular batch2 of these pills had several adverse effects, all of them bearing the engraving "W". Following incidents XXXX-0, -1 and -2, the O5 council has issued a recall of all samples of the mnestic from the batch, and designated these pills SCP-XXXX. Of the β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ individual samples of SCP-XXXX that were distributed by the Foundation, only β–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆβ–ˆ have been returned or accounted for. Further experimentation and research into SCP-XXXX has been, and is expected to be, documented and logged.

Addendum XXXX.1: Action log transcripts of all MTF missions confirmed to have been affected by SCP-XXXX

Addendum XXXX.2: Experiment Log XXXX-5C

Addendum XXXX.3: Post action interview regarding the use of SCP-XXXX by hostile actors

Addendum XXXX.4: Update on the containment status of SCP-XXXX

Due to recent security breaches, all documentation of SCP-XXXX will now become open knowledge to any and all involved MTFs, including Gamma-5, Lota-10, and Epsilon-11, as well as any Foundation agents deployed in the field that is expected to come into contact with any groups of interest. Procedures and Protocols on how to handle a SCP-XXXX event will now come standard in all Foundation field manuals.

To be clear, the Foundation is not currently in a Broken Masquerade scenario at any level. However, SCP-XXXX is one of the highest intelligence risks currently facing the Foundation because of its unpredictable effect and scope.
