Diary of Lake Den (Made For Fun)

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The diary is currently locked up in a 3x3ft metallic 6 inched sealed vault inside a small room at size of 6x6ft. Daily surveillance is constantly monitoring the entrance and room. Under no circumstance shall the diary be touched, let alone be near it. Those who enter the room will be forced to be relocated to a Harm-Free environment with a protected Psychiatrist specialized in dealing with the thoughts of committing Murder and Suicide. The guards that have detained the intruder will remain as well until given permission to leave.

Description: The diary holds information of a young adult who goes by the name of Lake Den. In an unfortunate event, Lake took his own life via blunt head trauma. Possible assumptions hold that Lake was suffering from Major Depressive Disorder and suicide, but no interview or documented records support those claims. From what investigators can gather is
A Diary of Lake Den.

The diary contains records of every passing day and night occurred events that Lake has come across.
Specific dates were written along with the time stamp of entry and end of the writing session.
Each page includes the phrase: "Find a way out" at the very beginning and "You're our way out" at
the very end.

Those who come in contact with the diary begin to think irrationally after reading a page of the book. Unknowingly, the reader will begin to forcefully finish the diary under a span of 3 hours. Ceasing the reader will result in homicide by the reader themselves. Completing the diary will force the reader to return the book to where Lake's life has began. The location was located to be at ███████.

Afterwards, the reader will then begin to travel to Lake Den's grave. Upon arriving, the person will walk up to the tombstone, then will speak the ending phrase, of each diary page, "You're way out is here.." The victim will then begin to bash their head on to the tombstone until death has been achieved.

If the person is forcefully halted, he or she will then begin to attempt to kill those who stop their suicidal actions, thinking that they are Lake's way out. The most common cases of murder is either by asphyxiation or blunt head trauma.

When the reader is detained, their memories of their past actions will quickly be erased.
Upon asking why they committed to "Finding a way out" and wanting to know what they have read will only get a response of them saying, "You shouldn't have done that." In approximately 2 minutes, the memories will no longer be available. Attempting to remember, after 2 minutes, will only lead the reader to recall touching the diary.

The meaning behind finding "A way out" has not been concluded with an approved answer. Interviewers were unsuccessful in retrieving information, from survivors, due to the rapid memory loss of the victim.

Interview Log - 59

Interviewed: ██████ Delts; 54 Years old; Foster Parent of Lake Den

Interviewer: Dr. Yem

Foreword: After the many deaths contradicting of Lake Den's Diary, Dr. Yem calls in █████ Delts to gather further Intel of Lake and his connection with the Diary

<Begin Log>

Dr. Yem: Thank you for coming here Mrs. Den.

Mrs. Delts: Please, call me Mrs. Delts. I am not the original parent of Lake.

Dr. Yem: As you wish, Mrs. Delts. Now, I have called you here to help me understand who Lake Den is..

Mrs. Delts: Lake.. He is rather one odd child to say the least.

Dr. Yem: How odd? Please be specific.

Mrs. Delts: I am not sure. For a total of 17 years of raising that child, Lake never opened up to ████ and I.
I loved him, lowered trust boundaries, and bonded with him. Guess he never did the same to me.

Dr. Yem: Has Lake ever commited risky actions: ████, ███, █████, ██████?

Mrs. Delts: Goodness no! We raised Lake well! From what ████ and I have seen, Lake was well behaved!
He's never shown any dissapproval acts to anyone. Let alone has it ever been reported.

Dr. Yem: What about his original parents. Do you know of any information about them?

Mrs. Delts: Only 1 thing and 1 thing only. His parents were ██████… People found him on the street at ████. No one would care to adobt him. Except for me: when I was looking for a second chance of having kids…

Dr. Yem: Do you know if Lake has ever found out of this information.

Mrs. Delts: I do not. He might have, but I am not sure. There might be so much that I don't know. Even the smallest of information, like a smile, could make me think twice of his personality: either it be making me think if he means it or not..

Dr. Yem: Now what about his diary.. Have you ever looked inside what he has been writing.

Mrs. Delts: I never knew of a diary until the SCP Foundation notified me a Diary of Lake.

Dr. Yem: Have you ever searched Lake's room in your household.

Mrs. Delts: The only time when I entered his room was after his death. I still feel guilty for searching his room, to know more about him, till this day..

Dr. Yem: Well thank you for your time Mrs. Delts. That is all the time I have for you today.

Mrs. Delts: Wait, that's it? But it has only been 5 minutes…

Dr. Yem: Please make your way out and close the door along the way.

[Mrs. Delts walks out of the interview room. At the end, a door is heard closing]

<End Log>

Conclusion: Mrs. Delts, the foster parent of Lake, seems to not hold much information of Lake's personal life. Data has been improved and shall result to further investigate Lake Den and his Diary.
