Item #: SCP-XXXX (refered as X for this draft)

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: X must be contained in a room measuring no less than 25 square meters. The room shall contain no sharp or pointy objects under no circumstances, and at least one (1) guard is to remain near X's enclosure at all time. A camera is to be pointed at the entirety of X's room, and must only be active when actively observing X. At all time X must be within reach of any sort of entertainment, be it books, newspaper, TV etc, but never should X be given any pen or pencil, as they can be used in unwanted ways (see incident XXXX-A)

Description: X is a rag doll most likely dating back from the late 19th century. It is 19 cm long, from head to toe. X's composition is no different from any other rag doll made from its era, and presents no sign of physical anomaly. When under any observation, be it from a person, animal, camera or even audio recorder, X never moves and never makes a sound. X only seems to move when nothing is able to see or hear it.

X is fully sentient and sapient, and is apparently able to feel a normal range of emotions. X will read books put at its disposal, finishing most of them and having a clear preference for non-fiction. It will also watch movies, as it can be observed frequently siting in front of an open TV, which was previously turned off. Again, it seems to prefer non-fiction movies, its favorite being The family man, as it is the most often found in the DVD player.

X has highly suicidal and depressive tendencies, which led to the decision to never give it any means to harm itself, as X has tried before to "end its life" by cutting its belly area. X has since been sewed back, and it is unsure if X can actually "die", even though no risks are to be taken. See incident XXXX-A. Psychological studies concluded that X suffers from severe isolation and lack of interaction, obviously explained by its inability do move when in presence of other beings.

An IQ test has been conducted on X, scoring and average 103 points. Researchers have communicated with X in the first day of its containment, but have moved on to other SCPs since. X's suicidal tendencies seem to have increased over time. deprived of the researcher's time, other methods of entertainment are used to keep X occupied.

Appendum XXXX-1: Questionnaire

X has been given a written set of questions by the researchers. Its answers are written in black ink, with a child-like calligraphy, most likely due to its limited ability to control its rag arms.

Addendum XXXX-2: Incident XXXX-A
On XX/XX/20XX, Dr.XXX activated the camera in X's room, to find X noticeably trying to open its belly using a pen that was previously given to it to play games in the local newspaper. X was immediately recovered and sewn back, and the room was re-examined to ensure this kind of event would not happen again.
