Description: SCP-0859 is a plain sterling silver ring with *redacted* carved onto the inside of the ring. SCP-0859 isn't to be experimented with until further notice with Class-5 approval.
Containment Procedure: SCP-0859 is to be kept in a 5ftx5ft solid cement room, in a red velvet bag, surrounded by level 3A bullet proof glass.
SCP-0859 is a ring which once is put on, is impossible to remove as it shrinks to fit the wearer too tightly and cuts off circulation to the finger. It is always just big enough for anyone to put on. Anyone within 2ft of SCP-0859 will want to wear it saying it is "Unparalleled in beauty".
The wearer of the ring is known as SCP-0859-1. SCP-0869-1 will start showing signs of insanity and will tell other people "I can help you be free" until they are either unconscious or dead. After 30 minutes SCP-0859-1 will appear very pale and fatigued, despite this SCP-0859-1 has incredible energy, strength and flexibility. SCP-0859-1 after 1 hour will no longer appear to have a shadow despite any form of lighting. The shadow may move freely and act as if it has a mind of it's own and is known as SCP-0859-2. SCP-0859-1 and SCP-0859-2 appear able to communicate with each other, only SCP-0859-1 is able to hear SCP-0858-2. SCP-0859-1 and SCP-0859-2 will work together to drive a victim into insanity and once the victim is completely insane, they convince it to commit suicide. If the victim does not submit to insanity SCP-0859-2 seems to draw a knife from behind it and stab the victim's shadow, the wounds inflicted on the victim's shadow appear on the victim. Once the victim is dead SCP-0859-1 will put the hand with SCP-0859 on the victim and the victim will be drained of all fluids and leave the victim so brittle, that one touch turns it dust. Analyzations of the dust only show the DNA of the victim and nothing else. After the victim is drained SCP-0859 turns a bright scarlet and SCP-0859-1 falls unconscious, SCP-0859-2 however is still free to move about but instead kills SCP-0859-1 and disappears, SCP-0859-1 is left without a shadow, the ring drains all the blood from SCP-0859-1 and a red velvet bag is materialized around it. If there is no victim available for a instance of SCP-0859-1 after 3 hours, then SCP-0859-2 kills SCP-0859-1 and the ritual continues itself. Attempts to break SCP-0859 have been made and failed, the ring itself is indestructible and does not: change in temperature, change in shape and does not lose structural integrity.

4 D-class Personnel were permitted to enter Scp-0859's containment chamber, 3 male 1 female.
Male 1 - 37 years of age
Male 2 - 23 years of age
Male 3 - 17 years of age
Female - 26
Male 3 immediately went towards the ring.
D-class 3: "This ring, it's so beautiful."
Researcher 1: "Step away from the ring *redacted*
D-class 1: "But it's so beautiful, I want it, no, I need it!"
D-class 2: "But it's too big for your fingers idiot."
D-class 3: "It'll fit, it has to." He puts on the the ring and starts losing circulation to his finger.
D-class 3: "What the hell? What is this? I can't take it off!"
D-class 4: "Don't you know where we are? We're at the facility, where a lot of horrible things worse than he is are!"
One of the researchers call the guards and has her taken away, you can hear her screaming then a loud bang, then silence.
The researchers look back at the chamber to see that all the personnel are sitting together in a circle talking and trying to pass time, slowly D-class 3 starts talking like he knows how to escape from the room. 30 minutes in D-class 3 is now being called SCP-0859-1, is scaring the other personnel because he's gone insane. After 2 hours have passed SCP-0859-1 has lost his shadow and it has gained sentients, it is now being called SCP0-859-2 and is able to communicate with SCP-0859-1. The two other personnel are also insane and are looking something.
2 & 1/2 hours have passed, all personnel inside the chamber are dead, the two personnel without the ring committed suicide, the final personnel was stabbed by his own shadow and all victims were drained of all fluids. After draining the first victim SCP-0859 changed to a bright scarlet colour. After all personnel were drained SCP-0859-1 turned to dust and had a bright scarlet velvet bag form around it. Testing the bag from a distance has revealed that it is indestructible and is comprised of all bodily fluids from the three personnel.

Test 1
Test description:
We are trying to change SCP-0859 in anyway possible.
We are attempting to see how much pressure is needed to bend SCP-0858 with a hydraulic press which is able to put 10 000lbs of downwards force. Using a small tungsten cylinder that is just larger than SCP-0859
Results: The cylinder split in half and several hoses have been sliced open. The operator of the machine had his neck sliced open and was extremely pale. SCP-0859 is completely unchanged
Test 2
Test Description:
Very simple test, we will see what SCP-0859 will fit to.
First subject: Hotdog: No change in size
Second subject: Rat: The rat instantly put its head through SCP-0859 and instantly had it's neck and throat crushed by SPC-0859 and it returned to the previous size without absorbing anything. SCP-0859 Turned black and was vibrating violently.
Third subject: Monkey: The monkey was immediately interested in SCP-0859 and put it on, SCP-0859 fell off it's finger turning a bright purple. An instance of SCP-0893-2 appeared and stretched ring and put it over the monkey's head. SCP-0859-2 could be seen laughing as the head of the monkey was quickly severed. SCP-0859 returned to it's previous size and colour.
Testing is not to continue without Class-5 approval.
Test 3
Test desription:
We are attempting to completely crush SCP-0859 with a car crusher.
Holyshit. The car crusher is completely shattered, it was like a explosion. Fuck being professional now, I'm the only survivor of this shit. It was going fine, the car crusher touched that cursed ring and all the gauges went past full pressure.
All the other researchers are dead, they're fucking headless.
There was a shadow, it was laughing just like the last time I don't know what it did but it's 10 ft away from me now. No, get back, what the fuck are you!? Stay away! I can help you, just take the ring and put it on, I know you know what it's capable of. Fuck you! I'm not putting that thing on! Then we have to do it the hard way.
