SCP #: X
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: One D-Class personnel under the influence of SCP-X is to be kept and secured in a 15 x 15 foot soundproof cushioned room. New D-Class are to be exposed to previous D-Class which are replaced weekly. Due to a recent containment breach, Incident-SCP-X-A, monitoring equipment is prohibited three days into the first D-Class personnel's rotation, this includes sound recording.
Description: Anyone under the influence of SCP-X will be designated SCP-X-1. SCP-X has only been described by SCP-X-1 as being a shadow man about 6ft tall and wearing a trench coat, while not having facial features. SCP-X is observed to deteriorate SCP-X-1 mentally, worsening as time goes on. Three days after first exposure to previous D-Class, SCP-X-1 will start shouting the name of SCP-X. It is theorized that the name of SCP-X is used to spread SCP-X's control over other people. Five days of exposure results in SCP-X-1 spreading feces on the walls to write SCP-X's name. After six days, SCP-X-1 is in a catatonic state. It is believed that SCP-X is aware that SCP-X-1 is deteriorating and is trying to spread its influence before SCP-X-1 expires. As well as this researches think that if SCP-X-1 expires without another host to influence then SCP-X expires as well.
Note: It's controversial if we let SCP-X live, it is just wasting our D-Class. But we still have to understand it.
