Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently undergoing research into more preemptive containment. No way has currently been devised to accurately predict and/or prevent an SCP-XXXX event. Until more proactive containment methods are devised, all embedded field agents are to be briefed of SCP-XXXX events before deployment. When an SCP-XXXX event is observed (whether independent, or caused by another anomaly) agents are to follow recovery protocol for Procedure XXXX-32-Ω. After recovery, if the SCP-XXXX-2 instance is stable after 2 months of medical examination they are to be given Class 3 amnestics and re-introduced into society. Procedure XXXX-32-Ω is to only be carried out within the grounds of the facility, and all SCP-XXXX-2 instances must be brought into the facility with at minimum 10 cm of extra attached material.

Procedure XXXX-32-Ω:
A- SCP-XXXX-2 is not completely overtaken and centralized in extremities.
Amputate all embedded extremities at no less than shoulder or hip. Study tissue samples taken from arm or leg. Examine SCP-XXXX-2 instance for standard 2 months and reintroduce into society.

Description: SCP-XXXX describes the anomaly of a living being, designated SCP-XXXX-2, becoming embedded in material like a wall, floor, ceiling or otherwise. All of recorded SCP-XXXX events have involved 1 non-living or immobile object and 1 living entity. Analysis of tissue samples from SCP-XXXX-2 seem to indicate that both the living tissue and material of the embedded matter occupy the same space at the same time. Furthermore, once embedded, the material overlapping with the living tissue will begin to grow throughout the body and overtake the body tissue over one week. This material growth is believed to be the re-working of matter to only be in one place at one time.

While previously, SCP-XXXX events only occurred through other space manipulating SCP items, as of April, 20██ these events have been occurring spontaneously, without obvious reason. As of this revision, no declarable pattern has been observed that connects all SCP-XXXX events.

Additional Notes: SCP-XXXX became it’s own differentiated anomaly after three separate accounts of an SCP-XXXX happening in ██████, England, ██████████, South Korea and ███████, Poland in 20██. As of June 13, 20██, the rate of SCP-XXXX events have increased from ~1 event per year to ~2 events per month. There have been ~400 separate accounts of an SCP-XXXX event happening since it’s upgrade to SCP status, and only █ SCP-XXXX-2 instances have been found before material completely overtook the body.
