Special Containment Procedures: SCP-xxxx is to be kept in a 5 ft tall, 3 ft wide cylindrical vat filled entirely with incoagulable human blood. Due to SCP-xxxx's dormancy when submerged in blood, security is kept minimal. SCP-xxxx must be kept submerged at all times and is never to be allowed to exit the vat. Liters of blood are to be transported to Site ▓▓ from local hospitals. blood types are not to be mixed within the vat. The vat is to be drained and re-filled with blood every 2 to 3 weeks, as blood that has had long term exposure with SCP-xxxx turns a darker brown with noticeable black specks strewn throughout the vat of blood. Leaving the blood unclean for extended periods of time can put SCP-xxxx into an agitated state in which it will begin to violently collide into the walls of the vat until the blood is drained and re-filled.

Description: SCP-xxxx is an abnormal umbilical cord presumably cut from a fetus. SCP-xxxx in its dormant state is six inches long but can swell up to three feet if fully engorged. If SCP-xxxx is not submerged in blood it will seek out a human victim and attach itself to the victim's navel. Much like a leech SCP-xxxx will feed off a victim's internals until it is fully engorged or the victim's corpse is completely emptied of blood and organs. After [DATA EXPUNGED] hours SCP-xxxx will excrete what it has eaten as a blackish brown liquid, returning to its normal size until the next feeding.
