Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept on Site-32 within a slightly modified humanoid containment chamber. The container is to remain pressure controlled and all ventilation shafts have been permanently sealed.1 SCP-XXXX is to be granted two medium sized goats on a bi-monthly basis. Interactions with SCP-XXXX are to be kept strictly to these feeding sessions. Waste materials are to be disposed of within 24 hours of introduction via incineration.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 3 meter tall bipedal entity composed almost entirely of intertwined tentacles genetically similar to that of Hapalochlaena. SCP-XXXX possesses a singular purple eye which also shares traits with Hapalochlaena. A large body cavity lies under the external layer of SCP-XXXX. Within its cavity SCP-XXXX keeps 6 specialized appendages that serve to assist in feeding. These appendages are on average 2 meters in length, lack any physical connection to SCP-XXXX, and are suspended in the cavity.

SCP-XXXX displays a predatory nature and shows hostility towards any animal it detects. When SCP-XXXX locates potential prey a section of its body will part and expose the central cavity. The feeding appendages will quickly draw outward and restrain the target. SCP-XXXX will then begin to drain the victim of vital fluids while introducing an enzyme rich fluid to the victim's circulatory system. It's likely that this fluid serves the purpose of ensuring prey does not escape due to its effects in moderation. The feeding process will kill the victim if no intervention is taken to interrupt SCP-XXXX.

Surviving an attack will leave the victim in a state of labored motion with the intensity dependent on how much of SCP-XXXX's enzyme was introduced. Subjects have described basic actions such as moving an arm or walking as heavily exhausting. Forces such as the pull of gravity have a delayed effect on victims, however, the consequences of such forces are not reduced and they are still lethal in extremes. (see Log-01) The victim will eventually expire from asphyxiation due to an impaired respiratory system, Breathing aids have only been able to delay expiration as of current.

When SCP-XXXX is allowed to finish with a prey item the victim will become petrified as a result of over-saturation with SCP-XXXX's enzyme.2The remains will ignore forces such as gravity and external factors applied entirely while under this effect. Within 8-12 hours the effect will cease, the victim's body will react based on what forces it was subject to during the stasis. Intense crush pressures and other forces have been incapable of altering the position or damaging victims until the effect of SCP-XXXX's enzyme dissipates.

SCP-XXXX can be injured through usage of traditional weaponry. It has no direct pain response to sustaining injuries but does, however, have a sense of self preservation and will attempt to flee if extensive damage is dealt. With the addition of wounds SCP-XXXX will be compelled to feed regardless of when it last fed. Lost portions of SCP-XXXX will regenerate post feeding within 4-6 hours.

SCP-XXXX was recovered at ██████ National Park, ████████ after a collection of seemingly petrified fauna were discovered by park rangers. Foundation attention came when the unusual properties of the victims were emphasized. Epsilon-6 was dispatched for recovery once repeat incidents became increasingly common and the entity was identified.
