Item#: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept on Site-32 within a slightly modified humanoid containment chamber. The container is to remain pressure controlled with all ventilation shafts permanently sealed. SCP-XXXX is to be granted two medium sized goats on a bi-monthly basis. Interactions with SCP-XXXX are to be kept strictly to these feeding sessions and enzyme collection. Waste materials are to be disposed of within 24 hours of introduction via incineration.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity 2.5 meters in height composed entirely out of intertwined tentacles genetically similar to that of Hapalochlaena. SCP-XXXX possesses a singular purple eye which also shares traits with Hapalochlaena. A large body cavity lies under the external layer of SCP-XXXX, Within this cavity it keeps 3 specialized appendages that assist feeding. These appendages are on average 2 meters in length, lack any physical connection to SCP-XXXX, and are suspended in the cavity.

SCP-XXXX displays a predatory nature and actively tries to feed on any animal it detects. When SCP-XXXX locates potential prey a section of its body will part and expose the central cavity. The appendages will quickly draw outward and attach to the target, SCP-XXXX will then begin to introduce an enzyme-rich fluid to the victim's circulatory system before recalling its appendages. If no action is taken to intervene in the injection the amount of enzyme will be lethal. SCP-XXXX will wait for its victim to become immobile before choosing to feed on them. It's likely that this fluid ensures that prey cannot escape another attack due to its effects in small doses. Extraction of SCP-XXXX's enzyme has proved to hold potential for a variety of purposes.

Surviving an attack will leave the victim in a state of slowed motion with the intensity dependent on how much of SCP-XXXX's enzyme was introduced. Subjects under the effect have described basic actions such as moving an arm or walking as exhausting. Forces such as the pull of gravity have a reduced effect on victims, however, the consequences of such forces are not reduced and they are still lethal but only delayed. (see Log-01). Subjects will survive with no complications by waiting 4-6 hours for the effect to end.

When SCP-XXXX is allowed to finish with a prey item the victim will become petrified as a result of over-saturation with SCP-XXXX's enzyme.1 When under this effect forces such as gravity and external forces will be ignored, within 8-12 hours the effect will cease. The remains will react based on what forces they were subject to during the stasis. Intense pressures and forces have been incapable of altering the position of the victim until the effect of SCP-XXXX's enzyme dissipates.

SCP-XXXX was recovered at ██████ National Park, ████████ after a collection of seemingly petrified fauna were discovered by park rangers. Foundation attention came when the unusual properties of the victims were emphasized. Epsilon-6 was dispatched for recovery once repeat incidents became increasingly common and the entity was identified.
