Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-VTUBER is to remain in the presence of no less than two, at least level 3, Foundation personnel at all times, in a room of any size which contains at least one table, of any height, and two chairs, of equal or taller height to the table. As SCP-VTUBER can be carried around without much issue, SCP-VTUBER-A must remain on-screen when SCP-VTUBER is being moved from its containing room. Should SCP-VTUBER-A be absent from the screen, a game of hide-and-seek must be played with it and, once located, it must be told to "Go home."
Description:
SCP-VTUBER is sleek black laptop of unknown brand and origin. It weighs about 5 kilograms, with two screens about 17 inches diagonally across, and has a height of 1 inch. One of these screens completely replace the mousepad and keyboard. Unlike a normal laptop, however, it cannot be closed or turned off by any means and does not require a source of power for its activity. A view of a virtual room covers its upper screen. SCP-VTUBER does not seem to be capable of the utility of programs one might usually use on their own devices.
On its upper screen, a virtual avatar, designated as SCP-VTUBER-A, resides in its virtual room within SCP-VTUBER. SCP-VTUBER-A does not have a fixed name, appearance, voice or personality, as it can transform any aspect of itself, as it pleases. SCP-VTUBER-A usually comes in the form of a humanoid female avatar with themed clothing and accessories, based on its personality at the time. The virtual room can also change its furniture arrangement, interior size, and theme, as SCP-VTUBER-A decides.
SCP-VTUBER-A can be interacted with when addressed and/or eye contact is made with it. Interactions can vary as SCP-VTUBER-A participates in conversation, playing games, binaural therapy, and physical contact, all of which is possible through V-TUBER's screen or when SCP-VTUBER-A has exited SCP-VTUBER's confinements. SCP-VTUBER-A can exit whenever it wishes to but should not be allowed to do so for extended periods of time.
SCP-VTUBER-A has been shown to vary widely in personality but is mostly friendly even in its most agitated state. SCP-VTUBER-A enjoys the company of viewers at any time and makes its best effort to befriend said viewers. SCP-VTUBER has been seen talking about a selection of topics, playing a wide variety of games, offering to make sounds to the viewers’ ears, and doing physical activity that may result it in posing in a silly fashion. Some of these games, which are multiplayer in nature, can be played with SCP-VTUBER-A via the lower screen of SCP-VTUBER.
If left alone, SCP-VTUBER-A may attempt to exit SCP-VTUBER through the screen. If there is someone watching, SCP-VTUBER-A can exit into the viewer’s room through a door in the virtual room and allow entrance to viewers if offered. No notable side effects are experienced when entering the virtual room and exiting the room through the door shows no issue either. If there is no applicable door in the containing room, SCP-VTUBER-A will exit through the screen. Due to its flexible nature, SCP-VTUBER-A can exit through the screen with no issue but likes to pretend it is stuck halfway when being watched by viewers. Any entity other than SCP-VTUBER-A are unable to pass through the screen.
Addendum VTUBER-1: Given the sometimes-mischievous behaviour of SCP-VTUBER-A, it is strongly advised that SCP-VTUBER should not be placed on the floor, as SCP-VTUBER-A has been known to reach through the screen and hold onto the legs of viewers, to trip them, when they get up, causing mild physical trauma.
Incident VTUBER-1: At 00:00 on ██/██/20██, a level 3 Foundation personnel and SCP-VTUBER-A was thought to have escaped from the containing room. A fellow level 3 personnel, returning from their break, alerted the situation to a level 4 and, at 6:00, they found them to be actually hiding together in a cabinet near SCP-VTUBER. It was only this time that it was learnt SCP-VTUBER-A could never escape because whichever door was opened from inside the room containing SCP-VTUBER while SCP-VTUBER-A was outside will always lead back to the virtual room. Interrogation results show sensual activity with SCP-VTUBER-A and the level 3 personnel hiding with it was reprimanded and is being watched closely.
