SCP-XXXX when entering its anomalous state.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained within a standard anomalous object containment locker at Site-23. Any experimentation involving SCP-XXXX requires permission from and supervision by a researcher with Level-3 clearance or higher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a Texas Instruments TI-83 graphing calculator with wear and yellowing consistent with age. SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties appear when anything is typed after the '2nd' key is pressed. When the key is pressed, a heavily pixelated semi-circle will appear on SCP-XXXX's screen, disappearing approximately 10-15 seconds later. After the semi-circle disappears, anything typed into SCP-XXXX will create a 10 meter radius around it's user. Any objects inside or entering this 10 meter radius, aside from its user and SCP-XXXX, will become distorted, have their chemical and physical properties altered, and are permanently changed. Examples of this phenomena include: reinforced concrete becoming incredibly malleable, rubber evaporating into water vapor which then ignited, and the air in a testing chamber rapidly changing between various elements including carbon, lead, and plutonium.

Because of the nature of SCP-XXXX's discovery and its anomalous properties, it is theorized that SCP-XXXX was not originally a TI-83 graphing calculator, but disguised as one to remain hidden from the Foundation as well as other organizations of interest. Evidence to support this theory is that SCP-XXXX was found wired to various computer systems at the same time, allowing 'Hole's Hand' researchers to use SCP-XXXX with unprecedented precision. Had SCP-XXXX had the form of a calculator originally, it is likely that 'Hole's Hand' would not be able to control SCP-XXXX to the extent and with the same equipment mentioned previously.

Recovery: SCP-XXXX was recovered on 4/9/18, during a coordinated strike on a 'Hole's Hand' forward operating base located in Northeastern Brazil. MTF Stigma-2 ("Soft Servers") secured SCP-XXXX from a room inside the base designed specifically to harness its anomalous properties. Multiple researchers captured during the raid are believed to possess knowledge pertaining to SCP-XXXX, and are under active interrogation.
