Item #: SCP-5184
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5184 is currently held in a containment cell at Site-88, under standard containment regulations, and is generally compliant with Foundation staff, although it may ask to walk about the facility to speak with staff, and may also inquire about Site-118, specifically about SCP-2006. SCP-5184 must have something in its containment cell to further educate it about fear, or it may become aggressive towards any subject or member of staff, but it will not show any signs of discontent with its given material.
Description: SCP-5184 is a humanoid entity, it is 2.14 meters tall, dressed in a dark grey hooded cloak that covers its entire body except for its hands, and the hood leaves only its nose and mouth visible. It always has a very wide grin on its face, and will occasionally let out a chuckle or a light laugh. It was found that it can be neutralized but not damaged.
When asked to remove its hood, it replies with, “I’d rather not do that.”, and carries on with conversation. When talking to subjects or interviewers, it will attempt to change the subject to fear, and try to discover the subjects greatest fear. Once the fear is discovered, the lights in the cell will flicker and shut off, and any audio or video feed will cut out. After a few seconds, the lights and surveillance systems will turn back on, and the subject will be seen shaking in their chair, or curled up on the floor.
The subjects were then placed in a separate cell to be studied and interviewed, the subjects were still shuddering in fear, and typically stayed in whichever corner of the room was farthest away from SCP-5184, how they knew is unknown. 24 hours later, all subjects died. It was soon discovered that this was because their hearts suddenly stopped. Before death, the subjects state that they saw the eyes of SCP-5184, but all gave different descriptions of what they saw.
This was repeatedly tested with subjects with different native languages, those who were deaf or mute, and even animals of various levels of intelligence, all died of the same cause. So far, even the most fearless of subjects were soon killed by SCP-5184. It is determined to be nearly impossible, but if SCP-5184 was to ever make it’s way to Site-118, and reach the cell of SCP-2006, the results could be disastrous.
