Special Containment Procedures: Containment Procedures of SCP- XXXX depend on the format of the instance.
SCP- XXXX- 1 refers to written, physical instances, be they handwritten or printed. These have to be contained within a half- transparent envelope that obscures at least 61.54% (16 characters). This envelope is then to be stored within a standard document storage locker.
SCP- XXXX- 1d refers to written, digital instances. Digital instances have to be stored on any digital storage unit without access to the internet. Written, digital instances should only be opened using the research program „XXXX secure analysis“.
Any instance of SCP- XXXX- 2 is to be treated with Class- B Amnestics. If treatment is impossible or if the subject resists it should be terminated. SCP- XXXX- 2 refers to any person that had been exposed to SCP- XXXX- 1 or 1d and fell victim to their anomalous effect.
Any testing of SCP- XXXX should be conducted using an obscured, physical copy or the programm „XXXX secure analysis“. Any D- Class personell used in testing, any researcher testing and any guard on duty near an instance of SCP- XXXX should be made aware of the nature of the anomaly. After performing their respective tasks they have to fill out form XXXX- SQ. This form consists of 50 questions that do not have to be answered correctly. XXXX- SQ then has to be scanned and analyzed using „XXXX secure analysis“. Should any instance of SCP- XXXX be found, the respective personell has to be temporarily designated SCP- XXXX- 2 and be administered Class- B Amnestics.
Description: SCP- XXXX describes an anomalous sentence or word consisting of 21 latin characters and 5 characters that do not correlate to any known language, though show strong similarities to latin characters or are latin characters with additions simmilar to accents. These 5 characters are certain to carry anomalus memetic properties and trigger the primary effect of SCP- XXXX.
The primary effect is a Beta Level memetic hazard that is triggered when the sentence/ word has been fully conceived by the recipient. Conception usually takes place after the subject either:
1. Knows the correct order of more than 38.46% of the sentence/word (10 characters.)
2. Knows more than 3 anomalous characters.
The primary effect is simmilar to a Schönlauter- Effect (invasive/ destructive relocation, replacement and manipulation of memory) and overwrites the recipients memory of the read content immediately after conception. This normally leads the recipient to forget the number and effects of SCP- XXXX, though it does not render them unable to realize the memetic properties.
The new memory depicts the heard/ read as an correct answer to any question currently on the mind of the recipient. The recipient is also able to reproduce the heard/ read with perfect accuracy (proven even with one dyslexic), the only precondition being that the subject is familiar with a language using latin characters.
It should be noted that SCP- XXXX does not answer any questions but merely seems like a correct answer. Affirmation of random conscious and subconscious questions (As SCP- XXXX could answer any question „correctly“) can lead to euphoria (facilitating the spread of the meme), depression and general erratic behavior.
Once a recipient fell victim to SCP- XXXX primary effect he is to be designated SCP- XXXX- 2 and Class- B Amnestics have to be administered. Any instance of SCP- XXXX- 2 escaping treatment is to be considered a containment breach and is ground for termination of the fugitive.
