Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4529 must be kept in a non-ferromagnetic container at Site 15 that is at least 17.5 meters above sea level. This object has a magnetic power of 1.5 Teslas when the object is at 17.5 meters the magnetic power increases/decreases with the rising/lowering of the object. If the magnetic power increases notify Dr.[REDACTED] immediately. Contact must be authorized by 05 [REDACTED]. Anyone entering the containment unit must remove all metallic objects on them. Contact can only be sustained for 5 minutes Maximum. Longer contact can be sustained if the interviewer is behind a sheet of Plexiglas with a Faraday cage inside it. [Added After Incident SCP-4529-2]
Description:
SCP-4529 is a sword handle from approximately 1650. The blade is physically there but invisible. Looking at the sword for 6 minutes or longer can lead the SCP’s “conscience” getting into yours. The SCP can convince you to do anything that you are physically able to do. After 2 Days of the SCP entering your system you will have your DNA altered and you will have more parts of your body growing in/on yourself. If you believe that SCP-4529 has joined with one of your colleagues contact Site Security via the Internal phone system.

Incident SCP-4529-1
A team of 3 D-Class personnel were placed in the room with SCP-4529. While in the room one of the D-Class noticed that there was a chip in the object the D-Class took the small amount of the handle. After 4 minutes of [REDACTED] tests the D-Class were removed from the containment cell. While the D-Class were waiting for Site Staff to Escort them back to their cells the D-Class with the piece lunged at a scientist and tried to grab his key card scratching the scientist. Site Security subdued this D-Class and removed him from the area. After 4 Days of medical surveillance the subject had 1 small arm growing out of their left thigh and after an X-Ray staff noticed a face growing on the D-Class’s stomach.
Incident SCP-4529-2
During an interview The Object became aggravated and after 8 minutes of the interview the object stated that it uses radiation to speak to the people it “takes” the mutations are not the SCP’s main goal. After this Dr.[REDACTED] terminated the interview 3 days later Dr.[REDACTED] was found taking the object out of the containment unit and running down the halls and stabbing other scientists with the SCP and was terminated by a MTF team dealing with an unrelated incident. After this a Faraday cage was placed in the Plexiglas window.

Notes: On ██/██/████ undercover foundation agents embedded within GoI-004 "Are We Cool Yet?" noted that a large
sect of artists was preparing for an 'art installation', and were shipping in anomalous items to a rented warehouse in [REDACTED], Ontario, Canada. Due to the high casualty rates and high risks of "broken masquerade scenarios often occurring during these events. Mobile Task Force Pi-1 "City Slickers" was dispatched prematurely to the warehouse to seize or terminate the anomalous items, as well as take the artists into custody.Two members of Pi-1 spent approximately 2 days monitoring the warehouse before the assault. Shortly before the incursion, camera feeds cut out. For reasons unknown, this was not marked as unusual. What follows is the audio transcript recovered after mission.
Mobile Task Force Pi-1 (aka City Slickers) Incident 4259-1 Recording (START)
21:05 - 180 seconds prior to engagement
Pi 1-1 Lead: Pi-1, check in.
(Seven other operators from Pi-1 check in successfully)
Pi 1-1 Lead: Confirm. Standby for orders.
(Brief pause and unusual audio static. It is unknown why Pi 1-1 Lead told Pi-1 too standby for orders, as Pi team
had already been briefed before the mission.)
Pi 1-1 Lead: Confirm. Pi team, place charges.
(Charges are set at designated entry points)
Pi 1-1 Lead: Site Command, team is awaiting go.
(This event has been as highly unusual as at the time Pi team had been operating independently to ensure operational
security. It is believed Pi 1-1 Lead was under the influence of SCP-4259.)
Unknown: Site Command confirms.
(Recording recovered from the mission have audio of an unidentified, highly distorted voice. This audio appears
to have been added after the original recording.)
Pi 1-1 Lead: Copy. All teams, green light! Breach!
(Loud bangs can be heard as charges detonate and Pi team enters building)
(Various audio chatter. In the following minute and half Pi-1 neutralizes 14 sect members, taking only two fatalities.)
Pi 1-8: This is four. Encountering some heavy resistance on the west side hallway. Requiring reinforce-
(Pi 1-8's life signs cease instantaneously.)
Unknown: Pi 1-8 has flat lined. Continue mission.
Pi 1-1 Lead: Assist Pi 1-8.
(Pi 1-1 Lead fails to acknowledge that 1-8 has flat lined.)
Pi 1-7: Copy. Moving to assist.
(Pi 1-7 proceeds to 1-8's location.)
Pi 1-7: Highly disfigured anomalous entity sighted. Engaging
(Gunfire can be heard)
Pi 1-7: Nemesis terminated.
(Brief pause)
Pi 1-7: Uh, negative, negative. Entity appears to be pulling itself back to-
(Rapid gunfire as 1-7's life signs fluctuate wildly, then ceases)
Unknown: Pi 1-7 has flat lined. Continue mission.
(10 second gap)
Unknown: Pi 1-4 has flat lined. Continue mission.
(13 second gap)
Unknown: Pi 1-2 has flat lined. Deploy kill agent "Nix".
(Kill agent "Nix" is a extremely fast moving lethal gas used to terminate hostiles and is highly effective against humans. No member of Pi team was cleared to possess kill agent Nix, nor were any of them wearing hazardous protection suits.)
Pi 1-1 Lead: Deploying Nix.
Pi 1-3: What? Have you lost it Lead?
(Pi 1-1 Lead ignores 1-3, further suggesting an influence by SCP-4529. Pi lead proceeds to setup a gas canister on the floor. At this point it is believed Pi 1-3 attempted to restrain Pi 1-1 Lead, causing Pi 1-1 Lead to accidentally rupture the gas canister.)
Pi 1-5:(Enters room) Cease hostilities! Hands in the air!
(Gas can be heard spewing uncontrollably as Lead and 1-3 engage in melee combat)
(According to Pi 1-5's account Pi lead pushed 1-3 away and drew secondary firearm, shooting 1-3 in the lower body twice at point blank range, penetrating his body armor. 1-3's life signs fluctuate. 1-3 lunged and grabbed lead,placing him in a choke hold, whilst using his own body to halt the spread of the gas.)
Pi 1-3:(Heavily distorted) Fallback 1-5!
(Pi 1-5 retreats as the gas overtakes both 1-3 and lead)
(A sigh can be heard over the recording as 1-3's life signs cease)
(Pi 1-5 and Pi 1-6 successfully escaped from the building as it was overtaken by gas. Since long range communications were unresponsive, Pi 1-5 was forced to run to a nearby payphone to call for backup. Leaving Pi 1-6 unable to efficiently secure a perimeter around the building. It is possible that Nix-resistant hostiles could've escaped during this time.)
(Six minutes later MTF Beta-5 "Maz Hatters" arrives and sterilizes the building. Inside 38 bodies are recovered plus those of MTF Pi-4, however despite the recordings, no anomalous items were recovered. In the basement sect members were recovered alive and have since been amnesticized and released.)
Afterword:
Pi 4-3 was awarded the Foundation gold star for his heroic actions, which gave the remaining members of Pi team sufficient time to escape the building.

Interviewer: What was the first indication to you that something was wrong?
(Interviewee furrows his brow)
Interviewee: When 1-7 announced that he had encountered an anomaly.
Interviewer: Really? Encountering and combating anomalies is part of the job description, isn't it?
Interviewee: I suppose.
Interviewer: Also, was it not that unusual for the cameras to go dark shortly before the mission started?
(Brief pause)
Interviewee: We already knew the enemy would be using technology to jam our communications.
Interviewer: Alright… What else stood out for you?
(There is a pause)
Interviewee: Seeing Pi Lead fighting.
Interviewer: And who was Pi Lead fighting?
Interviewee: Uh, well. I couldn't really see…
Interviewer: Uh huh, did you notice any unusual behavior from Pi Lead before the mission?
Interviewee: No.
Interviewer: Is there anything else you would like to add?
Interviewee: No.

Interviewer: What was the first indication something was wrong to you?
Interviewee: The moment the cameras went out. Our cameras almost always go out, but still; unusual.
Interviewer: Has Pi Lead ever acted unusual before?
Interviewee: Not that I've ever seen.
Interviewer: Did you see the fight between Pi Lead and Pi 1-3
Interviewee: No. Haven't even read the report.
Interviewer: Mhm… Were you aware that the enemy would be using communication jamming technology?
Interviewee: No. If we had we would have sent in a much larger team.
(A brief pause)
Interviewer: Is it possible that a hostile could've escaped from the building after the mission?
Interviewee: I suppose, it was just me and the entire building. 1-5 said that long range radio wasn't working and
ran to get a phone.
Interviewer: Did you personally actually attempt to use the phone?
Interviewee: Uh, well, no.
(Pause)
Interviewer: Have you ever seen Pi 1-5 act unusually?
Interviewee: Not really..
Interviewer: I think this interview is over.

On ██/██/████, Dr Mikhail Benovich concluded that Pi 1-5 was under an anomalous influence and alerted the security chief. Site security was sent to take Marshall Baxter into custody, but after a brief firefight Marshall Baxter was shot and killed. A consequent raid on Baxter's personal address recovered a huge cache of anomalous items as well as SCP-4259, whose anomalous properties were revealed in testing. The remaining anomalous items have been classified under the "E" designation.
A secondary review revealed the the audio files had been tampered with. It remains unknown whether or not Pi 1-5 was under the influence of SCP-4259 or if he had somehow created.
The body of Pi 1-1 Lead remains uncovered.
