Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5869 is to be kept inside of a standard humanoid containment cell at all times. The 20 feet area around the containment cell is strictly off-limits to any humanoid entity unless for testing purposes. Site Director clearance is required to begin testing. SCP-5869 at all times must be sectioned off. SCP-5869’s containment cell must be watched by no less than 5 security personnel and 1 medical personnel at all time. It is mandatory that SCP-5869-1’s health is checked daily and must have it’s vital signs digitally sent real-time to medical personnel actively watching SCP-5869. SCP-5869 must have a source of entertainment, preferably television or a book when requested. Under no circumstances may SCP-5869 watch any footage that may encourage violence, footage that includes current events, footage that may encourage escaping from an enclosure (e.g. any prison movies), or footage created after 2010. Level-4 personnel is to review these requests. Level-4 personnel may refuse reasonable items during punishment. When SCP-5869 attempts to escape, lie, reject orders, or attack foundation personnel, SCP-5869 is to be punished with taking away entertainment for lesser offenses or sending a sound at 15000 Hz for high offenses. Punishment is to be decided upon by a level 4 personnel assigned to SCP-5869. Upon SCP-5869-1’s death, Site-17 must immediately enter a lockdown state, and all personnel must undergo bodily inspection in search of a black star-shaped mark located on the back of the torso..
Description: SCP-5869 is a shapeless entity that overtakes a humanoid’s body through touch. The body SCP-5869 resides in is to be referred to as SCP-5869-1, which includes everything inside. When SCP-5869-1’s brain shuts down (usually due to death) the entity instantly overtakes the nearest humanoid. With a maximum range of 10 feet, it can travel through solid objects and does not need the humanoid to be willing. It is theorized that when there are no humanoids within the 10 feet radius, SCP-5869 enters a stasis within the deceased SCP-5869-1. All instances of SCP-5869-1 have a star-shaped mark placed somewhere on their torso, which only appears while under control by SCP-5869. It has no movement or motor function during its stasis. As of now, SCP-5869-1 is a 1.9m black-haired caucasian male about 90kg with a slightly muscular build, previously known as Mr. ████████. Once SCP-5869-1 touches a humanoid creature that is willing to be controlled it can move into the body and overtake the brain’s functions. SCP-5869 is capable of using the entire brain of SCP-5869-1, although intelligence and memory and such are useless as SCP-5869 has a memory and intelligence of its own. SCP-5869, no matter what body it controls, has expressed large amounts of pain when exposed to high-frequency soundwaves. High frequencies should only be sent out as punishment or testing reasons. Testing has shown that while SCP-5869 is in control of SCP-5869-1 the body’s previous owner, which will be referred to as SCP-5869-2, is stuck to watch helplessly as their body moves without them in control. Multiple SCP-5869-2s have reported after having SCP-5869 leave their body the ability to converse with SCP-5869 telepathically while it was in control of their body. SCP-5869 has a different personality for different bodies, although each personality has similar intelligence, memories, and ideals (i.e., all of the personalities strongly prefer watching television over reading books). Each personality has a gender, but it does not necessarily correspond with SCP-5869-1’s gender. When told that it is a male with a female personality and vice versa it shows great offense. Although it does not confirm nor deny that it knows its true gender.

SCP-5869-1 was found in ████████, England. SCP-5869 was in possession of ████████. After several reports of strange behaviors from what was a kind neighbor along with mysterious unexplained mood changes in the area Agent ████████ was deployed to investigate. After coming into contact with SCP-5869-1 it established communication. SCP-5869 asked to enter Agent ████████ as he was more physically adept then SCP-5869-1. Agent ████████ refused. SCP-5869-1 expressed annoyance. Agent ████████ requested a mobile task force to secure and contain SCP-5869-1. Mu-13 "Ghostbusters" attempted to arrest SCP-5869-1. SCP-5869 refused and attempted to kill task force member ████████ with a pistol hidden under a chair. Agent ████████ opened fire and killed SCP-5859-1 almost instantly. SCP-5869 came into possession of task force member ████████. New SCP-5869-1 was then incapacitated by a strike to the head from a gunstock and contained in Site-17 with no further incident. Anyone knowing about the previous SCP-5869-1 ████████ or the odd mood changes was given Class-A amnestics.
