Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is contained inside a humidity- and temperature-controlled object containment cell at Site-███. The cell maintains a constant temperature of 36°C and no more than 30% relative humidity. At no point should any liquid substance be allowed inside the containment cell and it must be routinely monitored for signs of condensation.
SCP-XXXX-2 instances are contained in standard item lockers.
All personnel at Site-███ must be trained to immediately enact Protocol Sanders in case of a Banshee Reality-Altering Event. Following the conclusion of a Banshee Event, site security officers should sweep the site and secure any resulting SCP-XXXX-2 instances found.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a white ceramic teapot capable of holding 1.4 liters of liquid, originally created by the ███████ company in 19██. MTF Theta-90 "Angle Grinders" recovered SCP-XXXX-1 from a public facility in ███████ ████, ██ following the first reported Banshee Reality-Altering Event in 20██, whereupon Protocol Sanders was deduced1 A cover story was disseminated and amnestics administered to all surviving witnesses.
SCP-XXXX-2 instances are produced at the conclusion of a Banshee Reality-Altering Event for each living entity that fails proper implementation of Protocol Sanders. Each instance of SCP-XXXX-2 is a replica of SCP-XXXX-1, although these instances do not have the same anomalous properties as SCP-XXXX-1. Liquids poured from these SCP-XXXX-2 instances are transformed into an a milky biological substance containing traces of unidentified human DNA. Further research is ongoing into these instances.
Banshee Events occur when liquids come into contact with SCP-XXXX-1. At the start of a Banshee Event, SCP-XXXX-1 will fill with an unidentified brown liquid at its boiling point and emit an unidentified heated red gas. Throughout the Event, SCP-XXXX-1 will also emit a ██ decibel2 screaching sound that can be heard from up to 1 km away, regardless of any intervening walls, barriers, or other materials.
During a Banshee Event, SCP-XXXX-1 manifests a reality-altering field that rapidly transforms nearby physical matter into crystalline arrangements of glossy platonic solids. Solid matter is converted into these convex polyhedrons regardless of their prior configurations, seemingly choosing among the five shapes at random. Living tissue is transformed into SCP-XXXX-2 instances instead of the polyhedrons. This reconfiguration applies to the matter down to the atomic level, forming crystal lattice structures in platonic solid configurations. Conversion of liquids into solids has been observed to occur after approximately 1 minute within the field reality-altering field. Further conversion of gaseous matter is hypothesized but not yet observed. This reality-altering effects spread outward from SCP-XXXX-1 at an observed rate of 0.5 m/s and are permanent even after the event's conclusion.
