Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5565 is to be kept in a locked 48.26 x 43.18 x 30.48 cm metal storage container. One agent will be tasked with responding to SCP-5565-A instances every day to prevent it from getting distressed. Due to the mostly harmless nature of SCP-5565, no further procedures need to be taken.

Description: SCP-5565 is a pad of pink 7.62 x 7.62 cm Post-It Notes. This pad contains a seemingly infinite amount of notes,¹ never shrinking in size. It is currently unknown how SCP-5565 accomplishes this.

SCP-5565 appears to display sentience. Every morning at █:██ AM in Pacific Standard Time, any pulled sheets will vanish² and a written note will appear on a surface within a ████ radius, as long as there are no barriers between SCP-5565 and the desired note area. These notes have been deemed SCP-5565-A. Instances of SCP-5565-A will contain a written message from what seems to be SCP-5565 itself, signed with a crude doodle of a cat (Felis catus). If asked, SCP-5565 will call itself 'Katz'.

SCP-5565 will only see responses if they are written on the main pad or an instance of SCP-5565-A. If not responded to, its notes will get steadily more distressed. After 1 week of being ignored, instances of SCP-5565-A will start appearing on sentient beings (primarily humans). These instances always mention being lonely and searching for someone to talk to. If it continues to be ignored, SCP-5565-A will start appearing inside the [REDACTED], sometimes resulting in death.

Discovery: SCP-5565 was discovered from a series of YouTube videos, named "My House Is Haunted". 4 episodes were posted on the month of ██████ in 2009 by Chris █████. After proven to not be edited, SCP-5565 was recovered from Chris' household and the videos were removed from the Internet.

Dr R: Thank you, Katz. Okay, why do you choose to sign your notes with a cat?

SCP-5565: wut do u mean???

Dr. R: You have a special form of communication, Katz. You are aware you are talking through notes, right?

Closing Statement: After contacting Chris █████, it was confirmed that he had a cat named Katz whom expired the month before he started his YouTube series. Chris agreed to respond to SCP-5565-A instances every morning. Procedures changed.
