Description: The Symmetrical Devourer is a incoutable sided shape that is made of wood and will destroy anything symmetrical in a 20 meter radius on average. It has glowing red eyes and it creates a black fog that not let’s you see. It seems to be able to change its mass. See addendum 1 for more details. If The Symmetrical Devourer does not destroy anything in a 24 hour period the radius will double and the time until the next double halfs. See addendum 2 for more information.
Any damage to The Symmetrical Devourer will cause you to lose your sanity and make try to hurt/kill your self. This was found by Dr.cutts before he disappeared. More information on this in test logs.
Special Containment Procedures:The Symmetrical Devourer is to be kept in a non symmetrical room at all times. Daily D-class are forced to walk past the 20 meter radius. no testing with The Symmetrical Devourer unless 2 level 4 staff are present. 2 guards at all times Protect the cell to make sure that it does not fall through the floor by changing its mass. Door gets relocked after entering. Anyone who enters will need a source of light to see.
Test logs : D-8673 was ordered to walk towards The Symmetrical Devourer. As he was 2 meters away from the 20 meter radius when he disappeared. It is unknown where he went.
D-9978 was tagged with a tracker to see if the things that disappear go somewhere. She was told to walk towards the object. She passed the 20 meter radius and then disappeared. The tracker came up blank.
D-6895 was forced to try and touch the object they chose him because his arm was gone. He passed the 20 meter radius by 10 meters when he went unconscious. He woke 2 days later and walked away.
Scp-343 was asked what made The Symmetrical Devourer he responded by saying “the XXXX made it”. the 05 orders to stop testing with The Symmetrical Devourer .
dr.cutts disappeared due to a changing radius. This caused the staff working around The Symmetrical Devourer to feel uneasy. They were replaced with robots and the staff were to work on something else.
Addendum 1: The Symmetrical Devourer breaches containment by changing mass so much it rips a hole in the floor multiple scps and staff disappeared.
addendum 2: the radius doubled for the first time and 89 staff disappeared. Object reclassified as keter.
Addendum 3: more doubledling events happened until over 800 staff disappeared. Then it shrinked back down.
D-Class Personnel was given a flamethrower to burn The Symmetrical DevourerD-class personnel refused and killed 4 guards before being executed on sight. Another D-class personnel was given a flamethrower this time agreed to burn The Symmetrical Devourer. The Symmetrical Devourer did not respond to the burning. D-class personnel were told to come out; they listened. 2 hours later they were found losing their sanity. They went to mental therapy for 3 months before being found dead. The cause of the death was hitting their head on a wall until it cracked open.
