Special Containment Procedures: Two guards must be stationed outside SCP-XXXX at all times to prevent any unauthorized entrance. The private school situated next to SCP-XXXX was purchased by foundation shell corporation █████████ inc. and its structure has been equipped for surveillance and testing.
Description: SCP-XXXX is 400 meter school track. Aside of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties, it is identical to other non-anomalous running track. The areas anomalous properties appear to activate when a subject running on the track reaches or exceeds a speed of 11.26 kph. Once the required speed is reached the subject loses voluntarily motor control. With every 400m lap completed, the subject's speed will involuntarily increase by 15%. Testing has shown SCP-XXXX does not affect muscles, joints, or the heart, only the central nervous system (CNS). At a certain pace the subjects body will not be able to handle the demands of the CNS, resulting in extensive tissue damage. Tendons and muscle attachment are the first to tear, followed by heart failure and death. Review of possible use of SCP-XXXX for improving foundation agent's athletic abilities is ongoing.
Log of tests with SCP-XXXX:
Test A - 2/█/20██
Subject: D-XXXX-1
Procedure: Subject instructed to start by walking on SCP-XXXX and gradually speed up. On site1 FAT timing used to measure subject speed.
Results: Subject entered a panicked state once running pace reached 11.26kph, yelling "I can't stop". Maximum pace of 33.1 kph reached when subjects left hamstring attachment tore off the bone. Uncontrolled muscle movement continued until subject suffered heart failure.
Test B - 2/██/200█
Subject: D-XXXX-2
Procedure: Subject instructed to start by walking on SCP-XXXX and gradually speed up. Tranquilizer gun used on subject after 2 minutes.
Results: Once hit subject lost the ability to communicate, but continued running. Achilles tendon burst. Subject was forcibly restrained and medical examination was conducted by Dr. Harper. Post heart failure autopsy also conducted.
Analysis: No increase in muscle, difference in joint/tendon strength, or any other adaptation was found in autopsy and examination.
Note: SCP-XXX doesn't seem to change the bodies ability to run, it only causes the CNS to fire past the limits imposed by the brain. Fascinating. - Dr. Harper
