Containment procedures: SCP XXXX is contained within a 10 by 10 by 10 meter cubic cell, the cell walls are 5 meters of a heat retardant alloy. SCP XXXX is to be monitored 24/7 with a rotation interval of 6 hours. Any change in behavior or spontaneous activation of SCP XXXX is to be reported immediately. Any attempt at a breach of containment from SCP XXXX is to be reported to the O5 council immediately as a potential XK class Doomsday Scenario.
Description: SCP XXXX was brought to the attention of the Foundation after Cosmonaut [REDACTED] saw 'a strange prism like object" floating after doing a routine space walk. In it's inactive state is an octahedron. It is roughly 4 meters and is a metallic reflective shade of black. SCP XXXX becomes active when it detects a stimulus within a 5 meter radius. SCP XXXX in it's active state becomes vaguely humanoid, 8 meters in length, and has sharp features and limbs. In addition, several symbols appear to glow onto several different parts of SCP XXXX, the Foundation has yet to decipher any meaning from the symbols. Once the entity detects a stimulus and becomes active, it fires an ultraviolet beam, measured to be higher in temperature than the core of our sun. The beam in most cases will immediately vaporize the stimulus in question.
