1st Draft, Sentient Wax

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be kept in temperatures under 20° C. The containment zone must have a backup power generator in case of blackouts. Every month a fresh batch of costumes must be left in its containment zone. No one is to look at SCP-XXXX unless for research reasons.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a poorly made wax sculpture and is presumably of a caucasian human. Its wax composition is mostly materials unheard of (as of ██/██/20██). The specimen can traumatise humans if looked at for around 5 minutes and after around half an hour to an hour subjects will experience a heart attack, if they survive the heart attack the subjects will be in a state of shock until they die. So far no subjects have recovered from these symptoms. In the year ████ when Mr. ███████ M██████ opened his wax museum in ████, Michigan, SCP-XXXX was one of the exhibits. M██████ had noticed SCP-XXXX change clothes everyday on it's own and his customers started filing complaints about SCP-XXXX traumatising guests. M██████ had closed the museum after filing for bankruptcy. Agent G███ found SCP-XXXX after a group of teenagers was found dead from heart attacks near the wax museum.

Addendum XXXX.1

The following is an interview with SCP-XXXX with an aim to find out its origins. The interviewer wore a blindfold to prevent experiencing the effects of SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX: Yes. I think I remember it. An old man.

Interviewer: Was it this man?

The interviewer hands SCP-XXXX a picture of M██████

SCP-XXXX No, that man payed no attention to me until those watchers complained. The man I
remember is a kind man, he payed attention to me but one day he never came back.

Interviewer: What happened next?

SCP-XXXX: Well, a younger woman brought me in but then threw me away, that's when I was
brought in by that greedy man.

Interviewer: Did you overhear anything from the old man?

SCP-XXXX: Now that you mention it he did say something that I fell out of the sky but I don't
remember doing a ridiculous thing.

Message in a Bottle

Special Containment Procedures: Each component of SCP-XXXX is to be wrapped with bubble wrap and fire resistant acoustic foam. SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a soundproofed room. The wrap and soundproofing must be checked every 14 days for peels and tears.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a collection of 22 pieces of rusted underwater research equipment labeled 'Aquarius'. SCP-XXXX plays an audio recording, which is yet to be decrypted (see Addendum XXXX-1), on a loop. The source of the sound appears to be the material itself, the message has been looping since Incident XXXX-1. When a human subject is exposed to the message, the subject (designated SCP-XXXX-1 from now on) will start to experience the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX-1 will experience severe panic attacks, followed by repeated requests to see and hear SCP-XXXX while the words: “The water shall cleanse” are repeatedly mumbled. Despite SCP-XXXX's labels, SCP-XXXX actually originates from another underwater laboratory: ███████ Labs. In ██/██/199█ ███████ Labs was evacuated after a series of earthquakes had breached the hull (see Incident XXXX-1). After 20 years when rumours about sailors hearing voices under the sea started to surface, the Foundation sent Agent ████ to investigate and later discovered SCP-XXXX.

Incident XXXX-1

On 0700 hours ██/██/199█ seismic activity was expected near ███████ Labs, located 100m underwater in the Pacific Ocean. At noon the earthquakes became too severe that it had breached the hull. Only 5 scientists had survived. The rest had either drowned or committed suicide.

Interviewer: What occurred when you met SCP-XXXX?

Simms: They kept telling me letters, later on I heard words…

Interviewer: What do you mean by this, Ms Simms?

Simms: Keys, Aquarius.

Interviewer: Anything else Ms Simms?

Simms: No.
