Special Containment Procedures:
Due to SCP-5368’s nature, containment currently presents too large of a logistical issue, which has lead to the development of the 5368 Knowledge Suppression Group (KSG).
The KSG currently utilizes the following methods of disinformation, knowledge suppression, and other forms of maintaining secrecy.
In the event that SCP-5368 successfully creates an SCP-5368-1 instance, said instance is to be apprehended and promptly terminated, using any RCDP1 to explain/falsify the disappearance/death of the SCP-5368-1 instance.
Should an SCP-5368-1 instance infect more than twenty (20) civilians, converting them to further SCP-5368-1 instances, SCDP#82 is to be initiated. Further information on SCPD#82 is listed in Addendum #1.
Should an SCP-5368-2 instance be spotted, Armed Containment Team (ACT) Lambda-15 (“Aggression Therapy”) is to be deployed to neutralize said instance. If three (3) or more SCP-5368-2 instances are active at one time, ACT λ-15 are to initiate Protocol Red Star (See Addendum #2).
Description:
SCP-5368 is an aggressive disorder, currently present in 0.00001% of the earth's total population. All individuals currently affected by SCP-5368 are designated as SCP-5368-1. Individuals who have been infected for more than three (3) months develop physical abnormalities within their anatomy, making them more resilient to damage of all kinds, with the only exception being radiation. Individuals who have developed these abnormalities are designated SCP-5368-2. Testing has revealed a possible third stage of development, although it is yet to be explored due to the risk of creating a possibly dangerous and destructive SCP-5368-3 instance.
It has been observed that SCP-5368-1 instances are able to transfer SCP-5368 to previously unaffected humans, although it is currently unclear how exactly this is accomplished. Research is on-going, and it is suspected that the process of “infection” is anomalous in nature.
SCP-5368-1 instances are detected using the “SCP-5368 Detector”. (Note by Lead Researcher Dr. Marcus: Who the fuck called it the SCP-5368 Detector? God fucking damn it, I’ll have to rewrite this part.)
SCP-5368-1 instances emit a special form of energy, discovered and named “Anomalous Aggression Energy” by Lead Researcher Dr. Marcus. The levels of AAE increase over the three (3) month period between “infection” and conversion into SCP-5368-2. After the SK-Class “Broken Masquerade” Scenario, the Foundation had to cease its previous means of screening for SCP-5368 due to ethical concerns. This led to the research and development of the AAE Detection Device (AAEDD), which is capable of detecting elevated levels of AAE from a distance of up to 1 kilometre.
Addendum #1:
Special Civilian Disinformation Protocol #82 shall entail the KSG’s ACT λ-15 ordering an evacuation under the guise of a spotted breached Keter-Class Anomaly. Upon the successful evacuation of the local area, fleeing SCP-5368-1 instances are to be apprehended and taken to the nearest containment facility, where they will be terminated. If an SCP-5368-2 instance is spotted, they are to be terminated-on-sight, and Civilians are to be misinformed that they are highly dangerous anomalies, and the original family members are deceased.
Addendum #2:
Protocol Red Star was put in place after Incident 5368-1. PRS entails the KSG’s ACT λ-15 using the MRDD2 to increase levels of radiation in the area affected by SCP-5368. After three (3) days of radiation-coating, (Note from Dr. Michaels: Yes, this is how it’s called. I didn’t name it, the guys using it did.) MTF Beta-7 (“Maz Hatters”) are to be deployed at most three (3) hours after the cessation of radiation-coating, with backup from ACT λ-15.
The deployed personnel are then to engage and terminate any and all SCP-5368-1 or SCP-5368-2 entities they spot. Upon the successful termination of all SCP-5368-1/-2 instances, the MTF and ACT teams are to un-deploy and return to their original posts.
Addendum #3, Incident 5368-1:
On the ██/██/████, four (4) instances of SCP-5368-2 were spotted in █████████, Washington. ACT λ-15 then deployed to locate and neutralize the SCP-5368-2 instances.
Upon coming into contact with one of the instances, a firefight ensued between the Agents and the SCP-5368-2 instance. This resulted in the deaths of ██ civilians and the deaths of █ ACT λ-15 Agents. The different instances will now be designated SCP-5368-2-1, SCP-5368-2-2, SCP-5368-2-3, and SCP-5368-2-4. SCP-5368-2-2 then came to aid SCP-5368-2-1 in the fight, resulting in the destruction of two (2) buildings and at least a dozen vehicles. ██ Civilians died, nearly doubling the initial casualties, and ██ Agents were killed. At this point, SCP-5368-2-3 also came to the aid of the first two SCP-5368-2 instances, annihilating the deployed ACT.
MTF Nu-7 was then requested to take over re-containment efforts.
Following a week of constant battles between the MTF and SCP-5368-2 instances, three (3) instances were able to be terminated, whereas one escaped Foundation custody.
SCP-5368-2-4 was later found hiding in [REDACTED], where it was terminated using the MRDD.
Incident 5368-1 resulted in the deaths of 102 Civilians and 47 Foundation Personnel.
A mass-amnestization was cleared by a 6-2-5 O5 Council Vote, resulting in the amnestization of over ████ Civilians.
Following this incident, the KSG and fifteen (15) Researchers were tasked with developing Protocol Red Star.
Addendum #4, Detection of first SCP-5368-3 Instance:
After some extensive testing, we had our first SCP-5368-3 instance. It breached containment and it took the entire on-site security force to take the thing down. I’ll list the notable effects and changes to anatomy/psyche:
- The instance, shortly after conversion, shed all of its bodily hair
- The instance grew two (2) appendages, resembling tentacles. These appendages were capable of punching through 9 inch thick steel.
- The instance lost most facial features, its head being massively deformed. It formed a shell around the brain that was able to withstand FN 5.7×28mm ammunition, 5.56×45mm and other types of rifle ammunition from point blank range.
- The instance was highly aggressive, attacking and killing all guards within the containment chamber.
- After an autopsy was performed, it has been noted that the amount of pressure required to puncture bare skin is now 100 N, almost five (5) times more than regular human skin.
- The body produced cells, which are still being researched and don’t really have a name, that apparently healed gunshot wounds and other serious forms of damage at an accelerated rate. It’s suspected that if we had lost the specimen, it’d have been completely fine in about a week.
