Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4699 is to be contained at Site-73, in a standard wooden storage lockbox. This lockbox has a form on it that all personnel must fill out if they want to use it. All personnel are then allowed to use one of the SCP-4699-1's for the time that they filled it out.

Description: SCP-4699 is a box of cassettes, the cassettes themselves hence being named SCP-4699-1, that were registered in 1984 under the non-existent brand, “Noun’d Records Inc.”. That being said, the date of origin is unclear. Despite this, the cassettes do not seem to be affected by the passage of time.

All of the SCP-4699-1’s have the title “Your Greatest Hits” etched onto the front of them, going from volume one, to volume ten. Despite the tape itself appearing to be blank, whenever the cassettes are played it will play a playlist of some of the listeners favorite songs. The duration of the tape depends on the person listening to it.1 If there is two or more people in the room, however; it will play the favorite songs of the person that started playing it.

Addenda SCP-4699.1:
SCP Number: Result:
SCP-682 Played for roughly 2 hours, 20 minutes, consisting mainly music made by Merzbow with SCP-682 stating "I don't think I'll try to escape today".
SCP-999 Incident aside, it played for almost 5 hours, with all of the songs falling under the "Hyperpop" category. The entire time SCP-999 was chirping along to the songs as well as furiously bouncing around and wiggling as if trying to dance. It is now encouraged to allow SCP-999 to use an instance of SCP-4699-1 at least once a week.
SCP-049 Played for 39 minutes, consisting of old English songs such as "Ring Around The Rosies". SCP-049 reportedly sat down in a chair and started making sounds consistent to weeping, saying "If only I was there… I can still smell the ashes…".
SCP-096 Played for around 4 hours 12 minutes, consisting of classical era music from artists such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. SCP-096 stopped crying, and sat down for almost the entire duration.2 Further research is required to know if this actually has any therapeutic effects on SCP-096.
