Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4137 is to be kept in a secure storage locker at Site 27. Access to the locker requires minimum Clearance 2. All Foundation personnel interacting with SCP-4137 must be female.

Description: SCP-4137 is a medieval broadsword, full length of which being 1.01 m. The hilt of SCP-4137 being approximately 20 cm, and the blade being approximately 81 cm. The hilt of SCP-4137 is wrapped by a leather, presumably cow leather, from the same time frame.

SCP-4137's effects manifest whenever a male makes skin contact with any part of SCP-4137. The holder of SCP-4137 (hereby designated SCP-4137-1) will claim to be a medieval knight from a multitude a certain kingdom and will state its name (being different from the holder of SCP-4137). SCP-4137-1 will have a British accent (the region of this accent is undetermined) SCP-4137-1 however seems to understand Modern English and is incapable of understanding any other language.

SCP-4137-1 will not want to part from SCP-4137 and will resist if a male attempts to take SCP-4137 from it. SCP-4137-1 will be reluctant to give up SCP-4137 to a female if asked for it but will give up SCP-4137 eventually. The subject will no longer believe he is a medieval knight and will not remember their time as SCP-4137-1.

Pieces of SCP-4137 are seen to utilize the same anomalous property. This was discovered when Senior Researcher Dr. Makimono had cut off a piece of the leather (hereby designated SCP-4137-2) from the hilt and pressed it upon D-30455, turning him into a SCP-4137-1 instance, however this instance did not receive distress about not having SCP-4137, and when presented with SCP-4137 did not claim it to be it's sword, contrary to previous experiments.

When SCP-4137-2 is implanted inside an individual, the same effect is manifested. The SCP-4137-1 instance will grow increasingly more depressed over time. It is unsure if this in part of SCP-4137's anomalous properties or a natural reaction to the surroundings he finds himself in.

Interviewed: A SCP-4137-1 instance which has been affecting D-49375 for four weeks

Interviewer: Senior Researcher Dr. Makimono

Foreword: This interview is taken place on the last day of this SCP-4137-1 instance’s scheduled existence. the SCP-4137-1 instance is aware of this fact. This SCP-4137-1 instance has also seemed to have grown attraction for Junior Researcher Sals.

Dr. Makimono: Well SCP-4137-1, how are you doing today?

SCP-4137-1: I would be better if I could see my lovely.

Dr. Makimono: Is that Junior Researcher Sals?

SCP-4137-1: Her name is Julia, you should know that.

Dr. Makimono:If you answer all our questions, I can bring her in here to see you.

SCP-4137-1: Sounds like an ultimatum. Okay, I will comply.

Dr. Makimono: How have you been feeling lately. In our reports it seemed like you have been getting depressed.

SCP-4137-1: Miss, if I may, you have given me a time of death. If a man was to be told when he was to die from a witch, how else would you expect a man to react.

Dr. Makimono: I understand, you do however we realize we are not witches, correct?

SCP-4137-1: Yes, I am fully aware. Although I still cannot believe it.

Dr. Makimono: I can understand it would be hard to come to grasps with your situation.

SCP-4137-1: Is there any more questions? I wish to meet with my Julia one last time, feel her embrace one last time.

Dr. Makimono: Her embrace? Have you two embraced before?

SCP-4137-1: Who wouldn’t embrace their lover?

Dr. Makimono: I was not aware you and Junior Researcher Sals were “lovers”.

SCP-4137-1: Very much so, we have been for a fortnight.

Dr. Makimono: What else have you and her done?

SCP-4137-1: A gentleman doesn’t tell.

Dr. Makimono: If you want to see her again, you will.

SCP-4137-1: Fine, we made love.

Dr. Makimono: How? We have had cameras on you at all times of the day.

SCP-4137-1: Your magic eyes on the wall? Julia said she (he looks upwards) oh what did she say… Oh yes she said “I took a tape of your security footage and just looped it. The creeps looking at the footage won’t know the difference since they will only look for a second.” I remember laughing at the word creep. Hadn’t heard it a lot back home. Not quite sure what she meant, but it seemed clever.

Dr. Makimono: Thank you SCP-4137-1, the guards will escort you back to your holding cell.

(Once SCP-4137-1 leaves the room, Dr. Makimono talks into the recorder)

Dr. Makimono: I would like a full investigation into this matter to be taken place. SCP-4137-1 will be terminated without coming into contact with Junior Researcher Sals.

Closing Statement: After investigation, it has been confirmed that what SCP-4137-1 said to have been correct. The 05 Council has voted to terminate Junior Researcher Sals. Her remains are to be incinerated and all people who knew Junior Researcher Sals are to be amnesticized.

Addendum: It is unsure if Junior Researcher Sals had grown attraction due to SCP-4137's anomalous properties. No further testing is to be done on SCP-4137 to minimize risk of future incidents.
