Puppy, with a death wish.
Item #: SCP-####
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-#### is to be kept in a secure room, no larger than 5 m x 5 m (16 ft x 16 ft). The room is to be equipped with two (2) doors at the entrance, which are never to be opened at the same time. At least two (2) members of staff are to observe SCP-#### at all times. Any interaction with SCP-#### is to be in the presence of security personal. Under no circumstances is a potentially hazardous object to be in the presence of SCP-####. Staff rotations are to happen every four (4) hours.
Staff members are to record SCP-####'s diet, insuring that SCP-#### is eating and drinking the provided meals. SCP-#### must be provided a meal of standard dog food and water two (2) times a day.
Description: SCP-#### appears as a labrador puppy, with pale golden fur. SCP-#### shows no signs of ageing or growing, consistently appearing as a puppy despite being discovered on 7-21-20██. Around the neck of SCP-#### is a red dog collar with a bone-shaped tag reading "Luna".
SCP-#### was discovered when ██████ Dog Kennel in ███████, England claimed that one of their strangest puppies had observed them using an injection to put down other dogs and attempted to use it on itself.
Upon someone making contact with SCP-####, it will attempt to charm them. SCP-#### will attempt this by jumping up at their feet, playfully barking, and licking their hands or face. This may continue for hours, however once SCP-#### believes that it has earned someone's trust, it will start scratching at the door - indicating that it wants to leave. SCP-#### will try to escape through the door when if is opened. If SCP-#### is to escape, or is brought a potentially harmful object it will attempt to severely injure itself, such as with the pen indecent (see Addendum 1). Psychological tests on SCP-#### have revealed it to be in constant psychological and physical pain.
SCP-####'s collar seems to be locked onto its neck, any attempts made to remove or break SCP-####'s collar have all been unsuccessful. Tests run on the tag on the collar reveal that it is made out of a type of material found on the moon and may suggest that it has travelled through space. Additionally, the tag appeared to constantly cast a shadow, even when the lighting should have made it impossible.
Addendum 1: An incident occurred when Dr.█████ came into contact with SCP-#### carrying a fountain pen and her clipboard. Dr.█████ had intended on testing SCP-####'s problem solving skills, however this was quickly cut short when SCP-#### leaped onto the pen and punctured its throat. SCP-#### was immediately tended to by the medical team who described that while operating on SCP-#### "a shadowy incorporeal substance dripped out of the wound", however SCP-#### managed to make a full recovery.
Addendum 2: Tests on the incorporeal substance from SCP-####'s wound (see Addendum 1) suggest that it may hold some sentience. It is now classified as SCP-####-1. SCP-####-1 and SCP-#### appear to be bonded in certain manners, as making contact with SCP-####-1 causes SCP-#### to experience increasing pain. Tests have also revealed that SCP-#### coming closer to death - through experiencing intense pain, being threatened with death, or showed something that could cause death - result in SCP-####-1 to become more active.
Addendum 3: An incident in which SCP-#### breached containment lead to it coming close to death once again. This time, needing to be revived after it attempted to drown itself by jumping into the sink of a vacant staff room. A moment before regaining consciousness, a large shadowy creature, made from SCP-####-1, emerged from SCP-####, reaching to the sky with an extended arm. Once SCP-#### was breathing again, the creature was sucked back and there was a deafening, painful howl. The creature appeared to be reaching towards the exact angle of the moon, and research has revealed that it seemly came from the shaded side of the moon before it ended up inside SCP-####. However, it also revealed that if the creature were to ever reach the moon, it is likely to fall out of orbit.
