Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained within a 3M X 3M X 3M containment cell at Site-19. The inside of the cell contains a camera on the west wall, a chair facing the east wall, a clock on the east wall, and two wooden boxes, both 1M X 1M X 1M in size. SCP-XXXX is contained within one of these containers at all times, it is switched between boxes every 20minutes. One guard must be stationed in SCP-XXXXs cell at all times, the guard is instructed to move the object between these boxes. If SCP-XXXX manages to create an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 either due to an irregular time taken or because of staff incompetence, a report will be made to Dr. Camello and standard re-containment procedures will be followed immediately. Please refer to SCP-XXXX re-containment procedures for more information, all staff assigned to SCP-XXXX are required to read through the re-containment procedures.
Description: SCP-XXXX was found at a deceased couples house in ███████, Arizona. The entity is a Ring composed of various metals, primarily gold and silver. It has 3 glass-gems attached to the top of it, all colored green. Attempting to put on the ring will result in it secreting hydrochloric acid until either taken off or after dismembering the appendage it is worn on, the acid has no effect on the ring itself. Wearing the ring improperly will still result in the same effect.
If the ring is left within a container, it will transform its container into SCP-XXXX-1. The ring has no known limit for transformation, however, the mass of its container affects the time taken to manifest SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 is the container the ring resides in, its appearance doesn't change upon animation. SCP-XXXX-1 exhibits traits of an ambush predator, it attempts to blend in with its surroundings and will attack small prey (relative to the size of SCP-XXXX-1) such as rodents. If SCP-XXXX-1 manages to catch its prey, it will enter an inactive state, locking itself and dissolving the prey inside of it, upon completion, SCP-XXXX-1 will continue its hunting.
It is capable of anomalous movement, it has been seen to reposition itself by sliding, it is unknown how the entity slides. SCP-XXXX-1 is also a perfect vacuum, there is no atmosphere within the box after transformation, even when it is open. Any other objects stored in the box upon transformation will be used by SCP-XXXX-1 to aid in its hunting. An example would be the object using duct tape to ensnare its prey or it using pencils to form appendages to grab its prey.
SCP-XXXX-1 will cease all activity when SCP-XXXX is removed from it, no further anomalous traits have been recorded by SCP-XXXX-1 after this, it is effectively terminated. SCP-XXXX-1 can also be terminated through heavy loss of mass, upon it losing approximately 57% of its original mass, it will lose all anomalous functions. SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt to prevent its termination however, it will lock its lid and attempt to hide itself from any perceived threat. The locking mechanism of SCP-XXXX-1 is also anomalous if the container doesn't have its own locking mechanism.
