Special Containment Procedures: MTF delta 9 is to patrol Scp 9012 at all times. Any agressive behaviour potrayed by Scp 9012 - 2 is to be noted and the island is to be evacuated until Scp 9012- 2 and the surrounding ecosystem have calmed down. Any stray fishing boats or any other form of sea travel is to be redirected. If any tourists manage to sucessfully enter the island, they are to be detained and given class A amnestics accordingly and swiftly.
Description: Scp 9012 is a 6km x 2km island located in the Caribbean. The island supports a strange ecosystem, with it's inhabitants being almost esclusively carnivorous. Only 4 species of herbivorous fauna have been found to be native to the island, these species including: Mazama Americana, Dasyprocta Leporina, Sciurus Granatensis and Hydrochoerus Hydrochaeris. Carnivorous species include the Ocelot, Spectacled caiman, Red Tailed Boa and 47 other diverse species. Despite this, the ecosystem continues to thrive, with the aforementioned herbivorous fauna reapearing in large numbers ranging from 60 - 1000 once each month. Plants have also been observed to grow 10x the normal growth rate, forming large rainforests across the island. This has been theorised to be caused by Scp 9012 - 2. Scp 9012- 2 is a 50 meter x 50 meter luminous orb with a spiral formation engraved in the center. Whenever any living being appears within 80 meters of the entity, it will summon a rainstorm and darken the sky. The anomaly itself will appear in the middle of a vortex surrounded by clouds and attempt to make the creature leave the 80 meter area (with the exception of flora, insects and microscophic fauna). This mostly consists of the anomaly shouting "LEAVE" or "TURN BACK" in an extremely deep voice. If the creature persists and ignores the anomaly's warning, the sky opens up and lightning strikes the victim, instantly vaporizing it. After this however, the entity will proceed to take control of the ecosystem and send it to hunt any personel or guards remaining on the island. It is advised to keep off the island until the anomaly and the ecosystem have calmed down. Currently, all attempts made to communicate with the entity have failed.
