Containment procedures: All personnel leaving SCP-3614-1 are to be escorted to the appropriate testing area and marked as an instance of SCP3614-3. During tests, SCP 3614-3 is not to be within 3 kilometres of any animal life unless necessary for testing. Electronics that are crucial testing devices are to be moved at least 90 km away. SCP-3614-2 is to be kept in a standard storage unit.
Description:
SCP 3614-1 is presumably a peppermint candy factory constructed in 1807, in [redacted], Germany, After a mysterious phenomenon in which the entire town's population was found dead of causes corresponding to an instance of SCP 3614-4. SCP 3614-2 is a small tin, labelled “Quality Mints” which was recovered from the site. The mints from SCP 3614-2 have been described as “exceptionally sweet”. The interior appears to be a factory designed for mint candy production. Electrical objects have been proven inefficient within 1.5 miles of SCP 3614-1. Upon entering SCP 3614-1 and losing sight of the main entrance, a strange phenomenon will occur in which the main entrance will instead lead subject to another factory area. All doors within SCP 3614-1 will lead to another factory production room or an office, with variations of which severity depends on exploration depth. The factory areas prove to be standard, for the time, although showing signs of poor working conditions. As subjects progressive more and more into SCP 3614-1, abstractions will become more and more present depending on depth. These abstractions are progressive and random, and may not always be in line with the table below.

| 3-11 kilometres of travel | Noticeable changes. Rooms may be found slightly smaller or larger than normal, along with the objects in the room in proportion. Rooms, staircases and other areas may be missing. The most notable change is the abundance of strange, unidentifiable tools of which have no purpose. At this stage, subjects will speak about a feeling of unease, due to the silence and other feelings they wish not to speak of |
| 11-144 kilometres of travel | The area is considered abstract. Rooms are seen to collide, with massive gaps in walls. Most rooms are disproportionate. Some rooms with a size of up to 77 square kilometres, others at a size of up to 6 square centimetres. All items in the room grow and shrink to proportion. Other possible notable changes include colour schemes and light intensity. Some rooms will be found with the items fastened to the ceiling or walls or filled with chains that hang down from the ceiling at every point in the room. At this stage, subjects will start to show signs of paranoia. Often stating that they never feel safe, leading to insomnia, and in some case, insanity |

No room is found without great abstraction.examples of abstractions include rooms over 200 kilometres squared filled with vinegar, Rooms where all materials are replaced with a soft, fully reflective material, that sends of electric charges on contact, and entire towns constructed only out of tree sap. At one point during this area, the subjects will stop feeling any distress. The time of this event varies. when this happens, the subject will instead feel calm, showing signs of accepting some sort of fate. Interestingly, sometimes recordings, where they reflect on their day, will sometimes reflect instead on significant days of their memory, which had a good influence on them, such as the day their child was born |

An exit is yet to be found. Time passes about 19.9 times faster within SCP 3614-1. Subjects who pass through SCP 3614-1 will start experiencing a slow process, of transformation into SCP 3614-3. This process takes anywhere from 7 days to 3 weeks. During this process, hearing of subjects will slowly become enhanced, while sight fades into blindness. Heart rate will slowly decrease until death. 3 days after death, If at any point, SCP 3614-3 is not visually monitored, that instance will disappear. And reappear at the entrance of the building before moving slowly towards an exit. They will appear animated, but all forms of testing suggest total cell death. Although unresponsive, SCP 3614-3 will walk around aimlessly and extremely slowly, showing no signs of needs of any kind. SCP 3614-3 shows signs of decomposition, but can be terminated by decapitation, this will not prevent an event of SCP 3614-4. All instances should be contained within 18 hours of animation. After that period, SCP 3614-1 will start sending out intense electromagnetic pulses for around 7 seconds, shutting down electronics within 83 kilometres. Over the course of 3-7 days, SCP 3614-3 will undergo a process where 4-11 pitch black, spider-like appendages will begin to grow Within SCP-3614-3. These appendages will have 3 joints and sometimes have around 2-5 fingers, and will appear at random points in the body. They have been proven to be exceptionally strong and can repair tears in seconds. After about 17 hours, they will be visible piercing the skin. The limbs, when fully grown, range in size from 4 to 7 metres. These limbs will appear inanimate and metallic and will work in efficient unison. 3 hours before an instance of SCP 3614-4, the humanoid part of SCP 3614-3 will be found completely deceased. After this period, the limbs will animate and start actively moving SCP 3614-3 by any means to any living human within 1.7 kilometres. SCP 3614-4 is extremely fast, travelling at up to 187 kilometres an hour, and has no trouble climbing or breaking things to reach its target. Humans that are within 1.7 kilometres of the subject will start feeling intense fear described as “inaudible violin music, like the stuff you hear in nightmares”. Frequently, all those hearing this will know they are in danger, but do very little to avoid it. SCP 3614-4 will kill its victims by means of impalation, using its long appendages, before proceeding to a next target. After 7 minutes, SCP 3614-4 will disappear completely, along with those of whom SCP 3614-4 terminated. For each victim of SCP 3614-4, a standard peppermint candy will appear within SCP 3614-2.
