Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a 60.96cm x 45.72cm x 45.72cm lizard tank with front double hinged doors sealed by a lock. The tank is to be decorated with live plants and small places for the creature to rest and hide. Two ceramic bowls are to be placed by the door for food and water. The creature is to be fed on a diet of 2-3 crickets or meal-worms (most effective if provided alive) and fresh arugula or baby spinach. A small candy may be added if SCP-XXXX is not planned for testing for a long period of time.
SCP-XXXX must always be under constant video surveillance and any signs of escape attempt is to be reported immediately to Doctor King. In the event that SCP-XXXX has breached containment, lock down procedures are to be implemented until the creature is found and returned to containment.
When transporting SCP-XXXX to and from testing sites it is to be contained in a small clear box with a seal. Putting SCP-XXXX in a zippered, buttoned or unbuttoned pocket with a "snack" is not an acceptable means of containment, Doctor King.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a salamander-like creature covered in soft black fur with wing like appendages on it's head. The creature is 20.32 centimeters in length and seems to be fully grown. SCP-XXXX is able to use it's wings for short periods of flight despite the wings seeming physically unable to do so. SCP-XXXX eyes are completely white, with clear eyelids blinking on rare occasion It is noted the eyes may have a purple shine to them when SCP-XXXX is transferring thoughts, though this effect has not been observed on any recorded medium.
It is theorized that SCP-XXXX's odd appearance is a tool the creature uses to bring attention to itself to gain thoughts. The appearance of SCP-XXXX does not match any known creature in nature and it's biology suggests it is both a mammal and reptile. Many subjects have been known to refer to SCP-XXXX as "cute", "adorable", "strange", "curious" and "captivating".
SCP-XXXX has the ability to read the thoughts of it's target via eye contact and share this thought with whoever is involved in it. There seems to be no specific duration to the eye contact, though prolonged eye contact is usually a sign of a longer or deeper thought. Subjects after making eye contact will often feel dazed for a short period of time after exposure. It is unclear how SCP-XXXX chooses it's targets and thoughts to be shared.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a Humanoid Containment Cell away from any organic items. SCP-XXXX is forbidden from leaving Site-XX and is to be accompanied by Foundation staff when outside of containment cell.
SCP-XXXX assigned staff are the only Foundation members which may have contact with SCP-XXXX. Any Foundation staff not assigned and interacting with SCP-XXXX is at risk of injury or death. If new assigned staff are hired, they are to conduct Sequence 171-Animus.
Sequence 171-Animus:
Sequence 171-Animus can only be done with one staff member at a time. In the event that multiple staff members are to be recruited, staff member is to be prioritized by willpower and Foundation loyalty.
Step One: New staff member is to be introduced to new assigned staff via intercom in 10 minute sessions daily until SCP-XXXX has a neutral or positive reaction to the new voice. These vocal sessions should consist of basic conversational topics or questions for SCP-XXXX to answer to.
Step Two: Vocal sessions are to be expanded to 30 minute sessions with more in depth topic discussion and questioning. It is advised at this stage to not prod into SCP-XXXX's background, as this line of questioning often leads to distrust of the potential assigned staff and the need to seek replacement staff. Progression should not be considered until SCP-XXXX is an active participant in conversation and cooperative with new staff.
Step Three: New staff member is to be introduced to SCP-XXXX in an interrogation room with separation between the two parties. After introduction, new staff member is to conduct "interviews" with SCP-XXXX until sufficient information is shared or new information is brought to light.
After the completion of phase three, it is considered safe for the new staff member to work with SCP-XXXX. Sequence 171-Animus cannot be restarted with a new staff member until one week minimum.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a automaton of unknown origin made up lightweight wire-like appendages. Material of these appendages is currently unknown. SCP-XXXX uses these appendages to reshape it's structure to imitate other lifeforms. When not imitating, SCP-XXXX takes on a shape reminiscent of a spider. SCP-XXXX can imitate shapes of life forms it has seen previously but this is limited to exterior. SCP-XXXX can only imitate internal structures after being taught about the anatomy of the creature imitated. SCP-XXXX must learn how to navigate as the imitated creature on it's own, but may be assisted if subject is shown to be having an exceptionally difficult time.
SCP-XXXX seems to have a voice of it's own but only uses this voice when alone, otherwise SCP-XXXX speaks in a mix of sounds previously recorded to produce the sound needed. SCP-XXXX is forbidden from using the voices of Foundation staff under any circumstances.
Addendum: To be added
An automaton that is able to change shape into things it has observed. SCP-XXXX comes from an unknown planet to gather data on living organisms and send information back to it's home world. SCP-XXXX’s home world is on the verge of an organic life takeover after recent advancements in their biological life experiments. SCP-XXXX was sent to observe organic life in an attempt to find weaknesses in organic life. SCP-XXXX’s fear in organic life makes it difficult to follow orders or communicate effectively, though it’s curious nature makes small advancements possible.
SCP-XXXX piqued the foundation’s interest when Site A personnel reported a possible escaped SCP-610 instance. A mobile task force was sent out to the reported location to find SCP-XXXX and began attacking when discovering the SCP was sending off transmission signals. When attacked, SCP-XXXX produced screeching sounds and attempted to flee while reconstructing itself. SCP-XXXX’s escape attempt failed due to its failure to mobilize with a foreign body.
SCP-XXXX changed into a more human form during transfer to the Foundation. When brought inside the Foundation, SCP-XXXX was reported to have attacked the guards transferring it with wire-like appendages formed at its “torso” while imitating human screams. SCP-XXXX attempted to escape but was unable to move without losing balance. SCP-XXXX then stopped it’s attack to prevent injury to itself and was put into a cell. It was reported that SCP-XXXX was repeating random noises and phrases it overheard before containment and pacing around the cell searching for something.
Exposure to humans makes SCP-XXXX less likely to lash out. SCP-XXXX attempted to communicate with staff with odd series screeches, resulting in staff suffering from headaches and temporary hearing loss. SCP-XXXX was then assigned to language lessons, but seemed to only imitate rather than comprehend what was being taught.
SCP-XXXX comes from a technology-only planet that is becoming consumed with organic life which started out as an experiment to create a new form of life. SCP-XXXX was sent from its planet to observe and report life from the planet sending out radio signals, assuming the radio signals led to life that was able to help. The planet is believed to possess very advanced technology. SCP-XXXX can only provide vague answers when asked about their planet, since a failsafe is installed within SCP-XXXX. There is grounds to believe data mining within SCP-XXXX can override the failsafe or to find information directly.
After an incident of SCP-XXXX removing the security camera from their cell, its understanding of the language greatly improved. The removal of the camera caused a small power outage in the area around SCP-XXXX’s containment and electronics connected to the camera or running it’s feed needed to be replaced. When asked about this, SCP-XXXX replied in a warped voice “Want language, code language, code to words.” while handing over the camera.
