SCP-####-1 appears as a cloud of luminescent vapour, which takes on a vaguely human shape.
SCP-####-1 can communicate telepathically with anyone in the nearby vicinity. Maximum range is unconfirmed, but is at least 300m, and experimentation suggests the telepathy is not impeded by any known material. Communications with the entity suggest a high level of computational intelligence, but very little emotional intelligence or personal awareness.
SCP-####-1 has also demonstrated significant telekinetic ability, moving objects without requiring physical contact with its form. In its simplest form this ability is used to manipulate and move objects as the entity desires.
When the entity enters a █████ state, its volume expands exponentially over time, and its telekinetic and telepathic projections become exponentially more violent and wider reaching. It is unknown how powerful this effect can become when left unchecked, but incidents SCP-####-A through -D yielded worrying data. At peak levels of the currently observed incidents during █████ state SCP-####-1 was able to telepathically destroy the minds of individuals and cause all known materials or barriers to collapse or disintegrate.
In a █████ state, SCP-####-1 does not move or attempt to cause any destruction to any specific personas or locations, it simply expands and destroys anything within its reach.
The entity is believed to sustain itself through feeding its ego. The more important, respected, and revered it is made to feel, the calmer and more docile its behaviour. Fear of the entity does not seem to feed its ego in this way, the entity must be made to feel significant in a positive sense to maintain its dormant state.
SCP-#### will actively seek information about itself from any persons it encounters, and if it believes any information is held back it will stop at nothing to ascertain it. It does however have a short memory, and very little to no personal awareness outside of what it is told about itself.
It has been experimentally proven that the telepathic ability of SCP-#### extends to electronic devices, the entity able to read all data from electronic devices quickly, but only registering data it believes relates to itself. Unprotected files given innocuous titles are ignored, while protected files are telepathically breached, or when protected by more advanced or anomalous means risk triggering a █████ state, the entity apparently convinced that any information hidden from it must contain criticism of it of some kind. It is for this reason that this document is not protected by further security beyond the level the facade entry is placed at, which SCP-#### has explicit access to.
The entity at this time believes it is a man named Jason Star in the employ of the Foundation as an Agent. It believes itself to be in its mid twenties and in peak physical fitness. It believes that prior to joining the foundation it was a movie star and world renowned mathematician, and that it joined the foundation due to a disillusionment with the celebrity lifestyle, and wanting to “put something back”.
This belief was instilled thanks to the quick thinking of Dr Sturks during SCP-####’s most recent █████ state. Site-██ was lost in this event, SCP-####-1’s previous containment site, along with ███ personnel, but containment of the entity beyond the boundaries of the site was ultimately maintained with the ceasing of the █████ state before it impacted anywhere outside Foundation control. SCP-####-1 is now housed at Site-██.
The current beliefs of SCP-####-1 are part of a larger and more sophisticated deception intended to induce a permanent dormant state in the entity. SCP-####-1 believes it must maintain the containment protocols of the fictional SCP-####, or humanity will be doomed. The believed importance of this task, and the belief that it is the only being capable of performing it, have resulted in an apparently stable dormant state. In reality SCP-#### is a non-anomalous object made of iron, with the terminal showing procedurally generated input questions that register confirmation and displaying positive reinforcement regardless of the input.
The security camera feed for the room housing SCP-####-1 is to be replaced by a loop showing a man in Foundation field agent attire sat at a terminal entering data, or occasionally eating or sleeping. In this way security personnel at Site ██ will believe all is well in the containment room, so the deception will be maintained if their mind is read by SCP-####-1. Care was taken to select a candidate who had extremely aesthetically pleasing facial features and build for camera feed, to ensure personnel at the site found Agent Star appealing. To ensure no personnel at Site ██ could ever become aware of this deception through meeting or seeing a picture of the candidate, they were [DATA EXPUNGED] and all records deleted..
It is a theory of Dr Sturks that SCP-####-1 is a psychic entity birthed by the collective consciousness of humanity as the total ego present on the planet reached some kind of critical limit. However, all testing and experimentation on SCP-####-1 is suspended at this time, due to the risk of alerting it to any aspect of the deception and potentially inducing a █████ state.
It is imperative that Dr Sturks and any other personnel aware of the truth of SCP-####-1 are never to come within 1km of Site ██, lest it telepathically read the truth from them.
The current deception will stand as long as possible, and Dr Sturks has prepared backup narratives should containment fail. It is believed at this time that containment is sustainable, and so the true object class for SCP-####-1 is Euclid.
