Containment Procedures: SCP-5000 is to be kept in a small leather pouch, until used. Authorized personnel with Level-2 access or higher may freely use the subject. If the subject is handled incorrectly, the item will be returned to its container, and the victim will receive proper medical care.
Description: SCP-5000 is the result of an experiment by Dr. ██ ███, around April of the year 18XX. Subject appears to be a small, unmarked, silver coin, with a diameter of 19.05 mm. The nature of the subject becomes apparent when held in the hand of an individual. When in the hand of the individual, (who will now be referred to as SCP-5000-2) the individual may think of a type of coin, concentrate on that coin's image for a few seconds, and SCP-5000 will change shape and mass accordingly to which coin SCP-5000-2 concentrated on. The object was excavated in Egypt, in the year 1992. An archaeologist found the subject, and reported it as "changing". The subject was turned over to authorites, which, in turn, was given to the Foundation. The coin-changing effect wears off 30-45 minutes thereafter. The subject, however, grows extremely hot when SCP-5000-2 thinks of a non-coin object.

Object Imagined: Quarter
Purpose: Establish nature of subject.
Results: Personnel complies. Once SCP-5000 was placed in personnel's hand, personnel thought of the image of a quarter. SCP-5000 responds accordingly.
5000-B
Test Subject: 1 D-Class personnel (D-5000-02)
Object Imagined: 1 metal nail
Purpose: Examine results of imagining non-coin object with subject in hand.
Results: Personnel complies. Personnel, with SCP-5000 in hand, imagined a metal nail measuring 2.5 cm in length. Subject does not change. Personnel begins to cry in pain. A brown outline appeared on personnel's hand around where subject was held. Subject removed. Personnel given medical treatment.
Note: Personnel described feeling as "burning hot".
5000-C
Test Subject: 1 D-Class personnel (D-5000-03)
Object Imagined: 100 milliliters of water
Purpose: Examine results of imagining non-solid object with subject in hand.
Results: Personnel complies. Once SCP-5000 was placed in hand, personnel though of exactly 100 milliliters of water. Same effects applied as D-5000-02. Subject removed. Personnel given medical treatment.
5000-D
Test Subjects: 1 D-Class personnel (D-5000-04)
Object Imagined: 1 black rat
Purpose: Examine results of imagining living object with subject in hand.
Results: Personnel complies. A loud, high-pitched sound of approximately 120 dB was heard. [DATA EXPUNGED] 1 cleanup crew was dispatched. Subject located approximately 25 meters from starting location. Subject removed.
