SCP- (unsure yet)
concept: sleep paralysis
notes: this is just a prototype and rough draft, edits, and suggestions are highly recommended, thank you :)
the explanation so far: there are two people. Person A and Person B. They have been brought into the lab for a test, an experiment about (to be determined, this will be the physical essence of what this SCP is, however, I have not decided on what exactly it is, maybe that will be a plot point) they are both laid down on separate cots across from each other. They both drift asleep in minutes, the experiment has begun.
Person A falls asleep and enters a state of sleep paralysis where they are unable to move scream or make any sound but they can see the room/area around them, however, the area around them at the moment is only a small bedroom with one window with curtains covering it, a bed in the center where they lay, a nightstand, and a dresser placed on the wall at the end of the bed. with a mirror above it. They scan the room and notice a dark figure in the mirror, the longer they stare the more it seems to disperse as if it wasn't a solid being at all.
Person B falls asleep and enters a lucid dream state, or so it seems. They are in the same room as Person A but are not in bed, they are viewing the bed from what Person B gathers to be inside the mirror. Their view starts to shift in and out of focus as they lose touch with their dream self but are still conscious they are in a dream and still hold their own thoughts. Although they still have their thoughts, they are no longer in control of their body, it seems an other-worldly being has taken control of their body but they are not sure what it is. They shift their focus to the person lying on the bed, the see Person A, and determine that the experiment worked.
Person B is alert that the experiment is successful so far, but Person A is unaware due to being unable to see if the person or "demon" as some call it (as in sleep paralysis demon) is Person B.
As stated before, Person B lost touch with their physical self, in just minutes after that their body began moving on its own, by whoever had overtaken it. It began to morph into a new shape, his fingers grew larger and sharper like claws, his strength nearly tripled and torso arched drastically downward into a less humanly being. The body looked doglike almost, but not completely. As it slowly crawled down the dresser, out of the mirror, and onto the floor, Person A began panicking.
Despite not being able to move, Person A became distressed mentally. They tried to calm themselves down by reassuring themselves it was only a dream. The being did not stop, it kept inching closer and closer until it was hovering over Person A. Person A, despite their efforts was utterly horrified and their heart rate grew drastically. The figures face started morphing into the deepest fears and regrets of Person A which happened to be the face of death itself, (in a report after this incident it was concluded this meant they either caused a death, experienced an intense death, or were indescribably afraid of dying in horrific ways) Person A's heart rate reached its peak and then all at once stopped. They died of cardiac arrest.
Person B woke up, Person A passed away. At first, Person B seemed unphased, but as the lab workers tried to talk to Person B, they screamed and morphed into whatever being had taken over their body in the dream, they managed to kill 3 workers before being shot down and contained.
ok so that's all I have so far, how did I do? still much to work on but again, feedback would be nice :) ty for reading if u made it this far!!
