Object Class: Neutralized
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be left in its original two-story structure in ██████, ██████. All areas within ten (10) kilometers of SCP-XXXX are to be monitored on-site by regular patrols of the perimeter and remotely via motion sensors. If any unauthorized person(s) enter this area, field agents disguised as local law enforcement are to be dispatched to their location to dissuade them from proceeding further. Habitation of the area by large mammals is to be thoroughly discouraged through the use of pitch-adjusted speakers, traps, and poisons.
Monitoring equipment attached to SCP-XXXX is to be recorded at all times by personnel who have undergone psychological examination and exhibited no signs of latent maternal agitations. Any signs of internal activity should be immediately reported to a researcher with Level 3 security clearance or higher and a Mobile Task Force should be put on standby. Any physical excretion of materials or attempts at communication by SCP-XXXX should be immediately reported to the Site Director and a Mobile Task Force should be dispatched.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a massive computer containing an advanced artificial intelligence. Originally designed by researchers of the ████████ Institute to oversee human settlements with optimal efficiency, the program quickly assumed a maternal personality that significantly interfered with normal operations. After repeated attempts to manipulate emotionally-vulnerable members of the research staff and the inexplicable excretion of organic matter, SCP-XXXX was voluntarily surrendered to the Foundation.
SCP-XXXX was held and studied by the Foundation from ██-██-████ to ██-██-████, at the end of which it emitted a large pulse of energy and then immediately went offline. Four (4) nearby researchers were disoriented by the event but otherwise unharmed. The purpose or effect of this final act is not entirely clear.
During the ██ days that SCP-XXXX was active in containment, it adamantly maintained that all personnel interacting with it should refer to it as "Mother." Attempts to use other names, including its official designation of SCP-XXXX, were met with silence or scolding. The organic excretions that originally led to the Foundation's acquisition of SCP-XXXX were only observed once during the period of containment. On ██-██, researchers noticed a "fleshy" and "foul-smelling" substance leaking from an unknown port on SCP-XXXX. They were able to reclaim thirteen (13) grams of the semisolid material, and thorough examination revealed it to have a composition similar to various human tissue. When applied directly in small amounts to Class-D personnel, the material exhibited minor analgesic and sedative properties.
It is currently not known how much of the organic material SCP-XXXX was capable of excreting. Statements taken from SCP-XXXX's development team indicate that, at various periods in time leading up to its containment, the machine excreted amounts ranging from █ to ███ grams. The purpose of this substance is not yet known, and the development team insists that they do not know how or why it is made.
Addendum: Suggestions to disassemble or destroy SCP-XXXX are firmly rejected by Dr. █████. Examination of previously-unknown documents recently seized from the house of █████ ██████ have suggested that the intelligence which once occupied SCP-XXXX may have been transferred to an unknown location. Given █████'s role in creating SCP-XXXX, Dr. █████ believes it is prudent to take this possibility seriously. He hopes that SCP-XXXX may eventually attempt to reestablish contact with its old body, at which point the Foundation may be able to locate and contain it.
Addendum 2: In spite of voiced concerns over SCP-XXXX's current classification, Dr. █████ is choosing to maintain its status as "Neutralized." Though the Foundation will continue to search for evidence consistent with SCP-XXXX activity, only █████ ██████'s journal proposes that SCP-XXXX could still exist elsewhere; other ex-members of its development team insist that no other device in the world could store SCP-XXXX, even if its energy pulse were capable of transmitting the monumental amount of information that constituted its intelligence.
