Special Containment Procedures: Procedure SCP-6969-Alpha is to be performed three times a week on weekdays only over a 16 week period at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California. Participants are to be selected on a volunteer basis from a pool of students of Humboldt State University. All participants are to focus specifically on the subjects of literary genre and discourse in their rituals, and complete assignments writing about an analyzing those topics between procedures. For good behavior and appropriate participation levels, participants may be provided with occasional rewards such as food or extra participation points. If at the end of the 16 week period any participant has a performance grade below 70%, said participant is to be terminated immediately.

Description: SCP-6969 is anomalous information pertaining to the subjects of writing, language, and literary discourse. It is mostly contained in the textbook Writing about Writing: A College Reader by Elizabeth Wardle and Douglas P. Downs, but said textbook is not sufficient to trigger the effects of SCP-6969 by itself. In order for the effects of SCP-6969 to be triggered, Procedure 6969-Alpha must be performed.

Procedure 6969-Alpha is a ritual that involves a ritual leader and at least ten participants.
