SCP-****

SCP-xxxx SCP-xxxx-1 not included

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-xxxx and SCP-xxxx-1 are to be kept atop a table, in a standard sized containment cell, at site ██████. Although the object is not capable of breaching containment itself; there have been █ breaches aided by staff members, who see the anomalous actions of the object as the "lesser evil". For this reason the cell should be guarded at all times by no fewer than 2 security personnel. Any staff caught attempting to breach containment should be immediately apprehended and brought to their supervisor for discipline.

Description: SCP-xxxx is a plush silver fox, approximately 3.5 feet in length nose to tail, and 1.8 ft in height at the shoulder. SCP-xxxx has no distinguishing features or tags, simply appearing as a high end plush toy. Upon first analysis upon capture it was revealed that the object was in contact with chemicals typically used in morgues for embalming. Researchers found that no amount of cleaning would remove the chemicals. SCP-xxxx-1 is a silver crushed velvet pillow with gold trim. The face of the pillow is embroidered with gold thread a message stating "You shall rest in my heart, forever and always- love grandma". While not active SCP-xxxx will be found atop SCP-xxxx-1 either in a prone or sitting position; The object it has never been reported to be seen moving by any staff members. There have also been several reports by staff entering the cell of hearing a faint, disembodied voice. Reported mostly to the sound of a young boy crying, although evidence of this has not been captured on the cells security camera.

Discovery: SCP-xxxx was discovered by agents reporting to a series of mysterious murders in the southern ███████. The object may also have had previous activities in ███████ and █████ before discovery, and several other cities with high rates of domestic violence. The agents agents were made aware of the anomalous nature of the murders after a witness gave a statement to police having witnessed the object in action. All witnesses and officers involved were interviewed by the agents, who were under the guise of being social services. once all relevant data was retrieved the agents administered amnestics and altered all police reports on the case. The object was then retrieved from the home of the last subject to be in possession of it. the Object was locked in a standard transportation case and brought back to site: ███. Upon arrival at the site the researchers given authority over SCP-xxxx found it was no longer in the case. This prompted the agents to frantically retrace their steps back to the last confirmed location they had possession of the object. After several hours of searching they discovered SCP-xxxx-1 in the attic atop SCP-xxxx-2. both objects were successfully retrieved and returned to site: ███. The agents were not found at fault and no disciplinary action was taken.

Properties: SCP-xxxx has not been proven to be of any kind of sentience, which makes the capabilities of the object very difficult to research while in containment. Forcing all researchers to base their conclusions on previously gathered data while they await permission to conduct field research. While seemingly harmless, the object can become a serious danger to those who fit the criteria of its desired targets.
When not hunting SCP-xxxx-1 with always remain atop SCP-xxxx-2, if removed from its placement it will disappear under unknown means the first time its breaks line of sight. The Object will always be found returned atop SCP-xxxx-2. Researchers are currently testing the lengths of this ability, see addendum SCP-xxxx-2-2
SCP-xxxx begins its hunt by locating families, typically consisting of a man, wife and at least one child. The one constant trait of every family effected was a history of domestic violence. Immediately upon finding a family its sees as suitable, it will place itself in possession of the children of the household. Reports from subjects in possession of the object claim that within hours of contact with it resulted is a dramatic change in their psychological state.
This prompted researchers to conduct the first of two successful tests to date on SCP-xxxx. See addendum SCP-xxxx-1-1.
The secondary act of the objects hunt begins after an indefinite amount of time has elapsed. but is believed to occur upon the first act of domestic violence is committed in its presence. At this stage SCP-xxxx-1 will wait until every occupant of the home is asleep or all but the perpetrator have left the home. SCP-xxxx-1 will then, under unknown means, as no eye witness or video accounts have been recorded, attack the subject.
Every victim of SCP-xxxx-1 have the same outcome, the subject is afflicted by wounds that are attributed to that of a small canine; typically centered around the throat and face. The cause of death in every case has been attributed to blood loss caused by a canine attack.

Addendum 1: Researchers wanting to test the validity of the reported effect of SCP-xxxx-1 had on the psychological state of those exposed to the object conducted 3 tests.
Test 1:
Subject: 9 year old female suffering from severe anxiety
Outcome: Subject was left in a room with SCP-xxxx-1 for 4.5 hours. brain scans showed that the presence of the object had an immediate effect on brain activity; Calming the girl and creating an overexpression of both happiness and excitement when compared to baseline. This effect immediately ceased once the object was removed from here presence.
Test 2:
Subject: 14 year old male victim of domestic violence
Outcome: Subject was presented SCP-xxxx-1 and as in test 1, saw an immediate decrease in brain activity. the subject became calm and responsive, when previously he was anxious and introverted. Upon removal of the object the subject reverted to previous behavior.
Test 3:
Subject: 24 year old male with history of chronic depression
Outcome: The subject responded to SCP-xxxx-1 the same as the previous subjects. But when the object was removed from his presence he became increasingly agitated. He begged the researchers to give it back to him as he stated "It was the only relief he has felt in years". Subject was administered amnestics and admitted to his local hospital for treatment.

Addendum 2: In order to test the extent of the objects ability to seeming teleport itself researchers began transporting SCP-xxxx-1 from SCP-xxxx-2 repeatedly at farther distances.
After several attempts at 150m, 500m and 1km it was concluded that SCP-xxxx-1 would always return to SCP-xxxx-2 regardless of distance. And that SCP-xxxx-2 must not be allowed to breach containment under any circumstances.
